Sure we're running late - but have you ever known us to be on time with anything? :P
It's Christmas Eve and we're finally ready to announce this years finalists. It was a tough call this year, but we're pleased to present you with the following candidates: |

Depardieu: Amphetamines
"Well my name is Bryan, but mainly i'm refered to as Amph' in the lineage comunity. I recently turned 24 and i live in Toronto Ontario Canada.
I could go on about my Lineage history, but honestly i doubt anyone really cares. I started playing Amphetamines around the same time DarkElves were introduced as a playable class. I remember just hitting 49 and wishing I had waited for the DarkElf class. Since then I stuck with my Mage, taking small breaks here and there. I have maintained a blog for a few years; I would like to think its one of the more popular ones, but I try to be humble about it. |
|
I'm trying to sell myself here but I really can't. If you know me, you know me. If not, please feel free to visit my site. I have years of history open to read and explore and tons more to come. I just want everyone to know that if I do infact win, I want to thank everyone who voted, and I hope I live up to your expectations... But if not, at least my intentions were in the right place.
Merry Christmas. Amph." |

| Ken Rauhel: Molindar
"I'm not really great at selling myself or putting myself ahead of others... I'll see what I can do within these lines.
My mission here is to have fun and get powerful, but not at the expense of others. As a matter of fact, in many ways, I have sacrificed a lot of Adena and items for others growth and power. I believe that a group of strong friends is more important than myself being uber-duber. I enjoy helping my friends and BP members become more than they are. It's who I am, both in RL and the game. Together you can accomplish more than you can by yourself. I have known a lot of people in this game over many years (I started in late 2002). Many of those people have quit or moved to another server leaving me loads of stuff and Adena. It just seemed fair for me to pass most of it out to friends and my BP's at the time. Of course I kept some of it for myself heh. |

I don't mind hunting with others from other BP's but mainly stay in BP hunts. I don't get involved in much of the drama that goes on through global-chat or on fvb, but there are a few people i'd like to see go poof. You know who you are.
Right is right and wrong is wrong there is no debate upon that, but people try to manipulate others feelings and ideas towards their own ends. I have no time for those people. I want to enjoy my game and learn to hunt together with my friends. My friends are my life. Alone you wither and die. Hmm well I just told you who I am and how I operate. Ill let others speak towards reasons to vote for me as player of the year, as I am not great at speaking highly about myself. Be good and play well !! Moli" |

Lands Of Aden: Somebody
"I started playing Lineage long ago when my uncle and his friends decided it would be something fun at a LAN party we were having. This was around the time right after Desert was put into the game and Desert was uber. That started my obsession and has continued until this day.
My first character was of course a Knight on Depardieu named “Comm4nd3r”, which I later quit and gave it to my uncle to play(very good rolls – oh the joys of rolling that dice for an hour). I then quit for about a year and then, like a great game always does, I was drawn back in for more, but this time I decided to play test with a good friend of mine(Now known by ProblemChild). |
|
Test was a blast, I don’t think I have ever had as much fun as I had on test and that is where I made my very first mage that I actually leveled. Low and behold it was a strength Mage (how I play my mage now), it was so much fun and then test server wiped. I quit again after this for awhile until I heard that Lands of Aden was opening. A fresh server to play with unique rules, can’t beat that. I made my first character, an elf, which went by the name of 7112. Yes I know, a horrible name (unless you’re a bot, then it’s a great name), but it was just a test character to see if I liked Lands of Aden.
I loved the server and made a few friends along the way. Once of which was DICTATOR. I asked him one day “What do you think the best stats are for a mage?” he without hesitation said “18 CON / 18 WIS” and with that I was off to make my mage. Making a name for a new character is always hard, but I figured Somebody would be fitting as I had used it many times before in other games. (Although it is a rather confusing name… “Somebody do this…” “Somebody do that…”). With my character made I was off to begin playing my mage. I found out quick my mage did not hit hard like my previous strength mage, nor did it have the magic power to do very well with magic alone. I found a pledge I wanted to join while hunting Dragon Valley beach and meeting D0MFORCE and Sauromans. I became a member of DOMFORCE and enjoyed that pledge immensely. Shortly after joining I found DVC 3f and how well my mage could do turning undead and leaching mana with Staff of Mana. I then went from level 46 to 49 in a short 9 days (at the time anyway) and that’s where my problems began. I HATED level 49 with a passion. I got 2% on my mage and quit it. I then proceeded to create 6 characters(2 Mages, 2 Knights, DE, Elf) and level then all to 49, then quit them because I hated level 49 that much. Meanwhile doing all of this I made many friends, but none stood out as much as one - Soundwave. I loved the way he played his mage and how well he could do it. I would switch back to my mage here and there, but I could never focus enough to get it done. I dreamt of playing like he did and being able to hunt the places he could. I tried desperately to Turn Undead like all of my mage counterparts, but I just couldn’t do it. It took so much of my mana just to turn one thing because of my horrible Intelligence. I would get frustrated and just give up. I did, however, make it to 50% somehow between my attempts at 31f, 51f, and DVC 3f/4f. My good friend had previously made a Dark Elf (Now ProblemChild) switching from his Knight and asked me if I wanted to go to Forgotten Island with him. Now I had remembered my previous engagements with the Forgotten Island monsters and how they slaughtered me every time as I tried to run away. Ignoring my deaths I decided to go with him. I played my mage like I had always seen Soundwave play his, but switching his brute melee with a combination of melee and spells. This worked incredibly well and I began to focus on making myself better at it and being able to heal other people while doing this. With lots of “work” I just eventually got very good at it. So much so that I often hunt Forgotten Island like I had always seen my idol, Soundwave, do – without summons. Unlike most mages I thought to myself (and with the help of other people saying I should) “What the hell I am already 18 con/wis I might as well add some more WIS”. This was based on the fact that I wanted the MR, MP regen, and the MP level ups. While this might seem like a bad idea, considering how much I whined about not being able to turn undead like everyone else, I have never regretted doing it since. I added to 25 Wisdom and then 3 to Intelligence (Level 60). My last level up I got 16 MP which made me feel very good about my decision to get full Wisdom and then add to Intelligence, seeing as I have 6 more levels until its full =(. I play my Mage like it is a Paladin and I love doing it. I am just a little Knight wannabe or maybe an Elf at heart." |
