Roo's (Almost) Official Guide To Catching a Monitor

Many of you have expressed an interest in just how we manage to catch the GM team for in-game photos, since they are so rarely seen.

Well... it's what we like to call a carefully developed art, and today, we are going to share the secret with you.

Step 1: Location
Hunting for Monitors is not easy work and takes great care. You must choose your hunting ground wisely. Monitors like to "hang out" in the quieter corners of Aden where they are not easily disturbed and may carry out their much appreciated work.

Step 2: Bait
Now you need something to lure the Monitors out of hiding. Rumour has it that they are especially fond of fresh pies.

HTCM1

GMScouts freshly baked Cream Pies are irresistable, even to the NCsoft Monitoring Team.

Step 3: Setting the trap
Carefully place your bait on the floor, in full-view so that it can be seen by the invisible Monitor. Be sure that the local wild-life and farm animals don't get to it first, as Monitors do not like half-eaten pies.

HTCM2

Carefuly positioned for a close encounter.

Step 4: Observe the incoming Monitor
Once the Monitor has spotted the pie, he or she will appear and cautiously approach it.

HTCM3

We've got a live one! Awwe isn't it cute?

Step 5: Taking the bait
The shy monitor will approach the pie cautiosly and check it to ensure farm animals haven't already taken a bite. If they like the look of it, they will greatfully take it.

HTCM4

For me? Yummie!

Step 6: A job well done...
Monitors are always polite and professional, even when consuming GMScouts freshly-baked cream pies!

HTCM5

You're very welcome.

LineageOne would like to ask it's readers not to participate in "Monitor Hunting" as the in-game staff are very busy, working hard to ensure the game can be enjoyed by all. We also fear that over-feeding may affect their productivity.

We would like to extend special thanks to GMSylvia, Mistryl and Monitor36 for making this guide possible. No Monitors were harmed in the making of this guide... although Monitor36 did get a bit of a tummy upset.
