The following changes will be published to the US test server during the weekly maintenance period on 14/09/2005:
- Enabled the Hell System
Aden’s Hell is home to several aggressive, high-difficulty counterparts of monsters encountered elsewhere in Aden. When a character’s PK (Player Kills) count reaches 30, that character will be automatically teleported to Hell, where they must then spend one minute “atoning” for their actions. The character will need to remain in-game in Hell for the entire atonement time, regardless of how many times they may die while in Hell.
Each time a character’s PK count increases past 30, they will be sent to Hell with an additional atonement time of one extra minute for each PK count over 30; you can access your character’s current PK count via the Options Window. Characters should lose one PK count for every death resulting in experience loss, and should not take a PK count for killing a player when fully lawful.

so many people are going to quit over this... at least this will stop high-level players from utterly abusing their power, but most of the really anti-social ones will just switch to low-level pk characters like burn de's and mages.
maybe the double-pink system isn't far behind?

I feel I should point out that this update has been brought to the Test server only. As far as I am aware, there are no plans to bring hell to Depardieu at this time.
Although I have no formal confirmation from NCsoft on this matter, I believe that the introduction of hell on test is to help combat issues that some of the testers have been experiencing.
For more information regarding this change, you should visit the testing forum on the official Lineage 1 website.
