Imagine logging onto Lineage, saying brief hello's and re-buffing - when a great BooOOooming voice shouting " PHOE!!!!!!! " reverberates in the air having come bursting out from the room next door- You tele to fv without thinking twice, slam down the keys, pumping pots and swing till the fiery bird vaporises up only to return later; The commanding voice belonging to none other than your father.

For most people, hearing a father's passionate summon to kill resonating throughout the whole castle- er, house, would be, well, simply unheard. I for one hear a woeful cry of 'our daughter is ruining her life!' the moment I sit at my Mac. For TheHammer, however, this isn't unusual. And if SexGodess were a great Greek God then he would surely be the Zeus (or perhaps in view of the female char-name, Athena) of the Lineaging family.
Having interviewed high level players from Ken in the past for LineageOne (Chance, BlueBerries (The Original - it's got to be said these days), ElvanEscence); I approached this one with a different personal interest; A father and son relationship is something I am not familiar with (family of four girls, I really feel for my own father o.o) and I can tell you that they had me laughing at my screen pretty much throughout the whole time.
Therefore, if you are expecting to read about the stats of SexGodess (lvl 64.88 almost 65*, 25 Str/18 Con/18 Dex, all BASE) and TheHammer ( lvl 63 going for 65, 760 HP/77 AC/18 Dex/23 STR, all BASE) where they hunt, what bosses they love and what drops they get, look somewhere else (like TheHammer's excellent Journal or Sexgodess's open linweb) ; this interview is about the players themselves, who have been playing Lineage pretty much since the dawn of Ken, and together have attained some of the highest levels and killed tough bosses on a US Server as well as commanding their own pledge.
Shortly after having congratulated TheHammeR on reaching level 63, we are standing in Ivory Tower, near Talas, a spot chosen by Hammer where he once hosted his famous PWDMIV (Pine Wand Death Match part 4) in honour of his friend Cazorp. And thus it begins.
Harking from Florida, USA, SexGodess (Mark) was the first to join Lineage after a workmate told him about it with his son (Joshua) following suit. Going strong now for about 6 years and reaching high status on US Servers, both play their 3rd characters, the previous being support characters or 'long deleted' in Hammer's case. And apart from the fear-striking flaming-silver (soon to be gold) attire staring you back from the screen, there, in elegant deep blue font are names which you puzzle over and then one can not help but blurt out the question-
"So, why did you choose the name SexGodess o.o ??"
From all the great scene opening, awe-awakening questions I could have started this interview with, I simply lost the basic ability to control my fingers and out it came. However, no harm done, as Hammer replied that it was something that he would like to know too (as well as a lot of other people). It turns out, that it was chosen for a couple of reasons, one being in order to Spy. o.o...

Incidentally, SexGodess no longer likes to siege as some of his friends belong to enemy pledges. (I do wonder, that a family in which each char belongs to each other’s enemy pledge would be an interesting scene to watch o.o;)
And as for 'TheHammeR' ...?

Good choice and a legend to which TheHammer of Lineage certainly lives up to ^^.
Living as a family in the same house and using 5 computers between them (not sure how they manage this as I can just about handle one o.o), the two knights used to play together in the same room, however that soon changed. Why?

An admirable reason, whereas I knew someone in the same predicament who took up the habit instead o.o; and who would complain about the opportunity of owning a computer in his or her own room anyway? I certainly wouldn't - and hold onto mine for dear life - but it does pose one question - what happens to communication during a boss hunt? Do you really have enough time to type out 'come now its on the left side - near where the entrance is - kill it with me before the other pledge come - oh quick it's on my ass - great - oh - PrOmega is here now too - thats great - End - you missed it o.o'... and I always did find that typing to my sister on a chat programme whilst she sat downstairs seemed to be bit fainéant; So hence...

Never underestimate the power of Boss name shouting when the time is crucial - Heaven knows Appleseede and I do it and has saved our lives on a number of occasions o.o; This does of course mean that anyone who should be in the house and not be part of the game, has to suffer the shouting rally @.@" . Though SexGodess and TheHammer don't hunt together all the time, their playing has brought them closer together in real life, conversation inverting the moment they are online/offline - Online, and it's all about the hardcore issues in real life- relationships, studies, jobs, etc.etc. so on and so forth - Offline, however, it's constant Lineage chitchat between mouth-fills of delicious cubasi.
TheHammer is also the prince of a strong pledge and one that Appleseede and I are happy to be part of. Formed out of a longing for endless pledge boss-hunting and rule-making/breaking (and to be somewhere he felt comfortable like when he was in Humble Hero's, Legend or Bloodrage)~ DarkFury started off with only a handful of close friends, and eventually grew into a large pledge of roughly 70 characters. TheHammer, however, has an insatiable appetite when it comes to Bosses; something that can be witnessed on his journal.
I had many questions for the father and for the son, and as I started with an obvious one, I also ended with equally obvious ones. How long do you intend to play? Till the end time of course (Lineage time, that is!)...And, if you were to write a Lineage Movie, what would happen in it?

o.o;...short, frightening and to the point. Whereas Hammer's is an epic story of a knight who leads an army of people through the great land of Aden fighting against the forces of Diad, taking down the infamous and ferocious Laia and Baranka single-handedly (at which point SexGodess said 'and then I'ld kill him o.o' this comment was said by SexGodess on a number occasion, that one was left feeling grateful for a) not standing in combat zone and b) that he was sleepy anyway o.o;) Hammer has often thought of writing a story about Lineage and his journal alone could provide a good starting point; Put all entries together, and it makes for a good read- a tale full of terrifying encounters, romantic interests and noble deeds~ a story fit for Don Quixote's Library.
And with this, I reach the end~ TheHammer is blessed to have a father like SexGodess; He takes care of his son, he takes care of his wife, and he takes care of his pledge mates- and SexGodess is blessed to have TheHammer for a son - a vibrant part of our lives in Lineage, an enthusiastic and motivated person - a good and kind leader~ I wish them both all the best for their online gaming future, but more importantly, for the lives they lead for real.
In the words of SexGodess concerning Lineage (and these are wise words indeed)~
"..Have a good time with it and don't let it get you down. If it aggravates you, stop playing then come back later. Game supposed to be fun; make it be fun..."
But with all this having been said, the article will never be complete without this; TheHammer's Tip of the Week:

Thank you guys *^^*~

*Since taking this Interview, SexGodess reached the mighty Golden Level65 a few days afterwards (-76 AC/ 777 HP, base); Many congratulations to him !!
