Time again for Mistryl to share the wealth of knoweldge with one of our age-old questions.

This week we asked her:

Does wearing specific elemental rings decrease the chance of being inflicted by a certain spell? (ex: Wearing Ring of Wind Resistance for Silence or Ring of Earth Resistance for Curse: Paralyze)

Wearing specific elemental rings decreases the chance of being damaged by the respective elemental offensive spells. If you wanted to reduce the probability of being inflicted with Silence and/or Curse: Paralyze, you should increase your MR. Magic Resistance (MR) determines your chance to resist/receive less damage from magical attacks; Elemental Resistance determines your chance to resist/receive less damage from a particular elemental spell attack.
