As you know Episode 4 has been on the Test Server for about a month now and it has proved to be pretty stable. We’ve gotten a good collection of bug reports from those of you who have been rootin’ around in it. Thanks again for your feedback and findings, it’s been quite an asset in making sure this content is clean and shiny for a live publish. Ah, the live publish, now there’s the real meat of this post, isn’t it? Well, here we go.
Episode 4 will not be on the live servers before Christmas. We’ve all been working very hard to try and pull it off but the truth is that we don’t feel confident that it’s ready. There are some outstanding bugs I’d like to squash and we want to spend some more time reviewing the LoA-specific changes to the episode. It would have been nice to have it before the Holiday break but it’ll be even nicer to publish it knowing it’s the right time to do so. Our new tentative date for release is January.
Holiday Event
You have been asking about a Holiday event and now it’s time for your questions to be answered. The one word answer is *dies from falling rock*.
Kidding! Yes, there will be an event for the holiday break. Details will be posted beforehand but, in short, you will all receive a gift from us (temporary event items) and a poly event lasting until January 2nd. The players on the Test Server will receive their gifts early to ensure that our spirit of giving is functioning properly. The event will hit the live servers shortly thereafter, at which point you all will receive your gift and the polymorphs will begin unlocking. We hope you enjoy it.
It’s an “Egg Nog = Off” year
Throughout my life I’ve noticed that my liking for egg nog turns on and off every year. One year I’ll like it where as the next year I’ll find it icky and awkward. Well I went to the store and picked up a carton to find out about 2005 and, yeah, this year isn’t a good year for the nog. I now have a half full carton of old-milk-looking liquid in my fridge and I’m a bit too timid to touch it again. I hope you all are having better luck with your nog related activities.

Eggnog, aka "Sweet Nectar of the Gods," is a deliciously creamy drink served around the holiday season. It contains beaten eggs, cream, and sugar. Its sweet to the taste and can be spiced up with a little brandy or bourbun. Though I wouldn't recommending drinking too much, as you'll spend the next 24 hours in the bathroom.

Ya, they learned their lesson the hard way at Halloween that it's not a good idea sending events to live servers without testing.
