Better late than never

Well, let me tell you a few things that have gone on since I posted my first blog entry.

3 days after, one of my German Shepherds became very ill. 2 days after that, I had to make the decision to have him put down. (Most likely it was kidney cancer.) (June 20)

2 days after that, I got a new 7-8 month old German Shepherd from the local German Shepherd rescue, so it was training, obedience, housebreaking... all that fun stuff.

In August I went to visit my family for 3 weeks.

3 weeks after I returned from that, I had a massive heart attack, so that kind of took me out of things for a while.

The end of January, I lost my German Shepherd girl. Came home one night to find her passed. (Note: Picking up 80 pounds of deceased dog not recommended for recovering heart attack patient.)

The next morning I went to German Shepherd rescue and got another 7-8 month old, so back into obedience classes.

2 weeks later, my mother was rediagnosed with ovarian cancer. (She'd just finished chemo in June.)

3 weeks after that, she had a massive heart attack. She had to quit chemo, so I moved to Chicago to help care for her while she died. I was there about 6 months. (Note: Picking up 200 pounds of mother to transfer from bed to chair, etc., also not recommended for recent heart attack patient. I managed for about a month before the pains were so bad we had to hire someone to help.)

When I came back home, I had to kind of remember where everything was, what to do, etc. Then I came back to the game and mostly played my elf, though I did get Tril back to 49.30 recently. (She had died several times during the rare times I did play in the midst of everything else.)

Kind of sad to read that my elf was already 46 when I posted. She just turned 48. I've been playing her much more consistently. She's just a bad elf. LOL (No, not bad as in naughty... bad as in incompetent. LOL) Well, she has bad ac, and
she had been earth, so was pokey as all get out. I recently changed her to wind. We'll see.

Needless to say, being gone so much kind of decimated Bovines of Doom. There are still a couple members (and a couple were just added, though warned that it was a lonely place right now), but most have either gone to LOA or quit the game completely. I feel bad. I would like to know how they are... Tat2U and Fiyero (Curti) especially.

So... let's try this one more time. And I think I'll try to blog for Wiffenpoof, too.
