NC Still Working on Auto-Loot Improvments

Capt has advised me that we are still in discussion of this issue with the Korean Development Team, but wanted to address this issue as soon as possible locally with the options available to us. Unfortunately, the flags we have available to us, the one being published today or another flag which disables both auto-loot and the “rights” timer, are not “tweakable”, but rather are either ON (implemented) or OFF (not implemented); we no longer have the flag available to us to enable drop dispersal as it was before, and that is what we’ve requested.

Thanks for keeping on eye on forums Roo. This update is randy for melee though. I do not get people complaining too much abotu distance drops. I often in old system with my dex elf killed before my pets did and drops fell to ground. Its how i got adept to killing soo many slimes. Also, my pets often filled up fast and dropped to ground anyway. Nothing really new here.

Vistiro you just said somethi

Vistiro you just said something though that makes me think you don't entirely get it...you were in a place where the worst thing that would happen is that slimes would get your drops. Go take your dex elf to Fire Valley, to the very top and spend about an hour or so up there. Or take her to TOI or to Ivory Tower 8. The harder places to hunt are places where you don't want to go running around gathering drops. And mages can't tell their summons to collect. We have to get the drops ourselves: an elf can tell his dog to get drops, and it will. And the higher the level the dog is, the bigger the range is on the pet, so a high level pet will easily gather everything. That is not an option that a mage with summons has.

I have 21 dex and a +9 hbow. You bet that things don't always fall near me. I had learned how many arrows to put in a mop so as to ensure that my summons would get there at the last minute and get my drops for me, to save me the walking around.

The update, even with the change they put in yesterday is still awful for mages. I'm glad you didn't mind killing slimes to get your drops. I'd rather not have an entire screen in FIre Valley strewn with mine tyvm.

Whilst I can't comment on NC's plans

It does look like the current fix is 'temporary' and was the best thing they could do for us in such short notice.

I really hope they address the pet control issue tho... Yes I can tell my dogs to collect... after crawling through 2 menus to find it.
