NCsoft's CaptSturm announced, in an official message board post, that 642 "bots" have been banned so far during 2006.
Q: Any word on when the grand plan to combat bots will be revealed?
A: I expect within the next two weeks we'll have substantial information. The GM team delivered information on the year to date bots banned in '06 on our service--642.

umm, your forum topic says "642 accounts, not 642 bots."
so if we are to assume there is 3 bots per acct with only 1 main char used by the owner, then they only banned 204 accts in actuality.
But where were all these accts banned from?
meaning which servers?
Also from observance of the bots found on Ken server, it appears the bot acct owners got smart.
after the bots that had numbers for named got banned.
Now they giving bots actual words, or silly names that make no sense.
so this is gona take longer to sort them out again,if nc doesnt know which ones are the true bots and which are actual players. -.-
Its bad enough that nc banned 2 good ppl from the game that was helping them find them and remove them from our server, so now Ken server is being overrun by those botters...so sad, they banned the only sheriff & his deputy, that we had there.
They were working overtime and got lousy pay for doing it, eer :(
Anywho...I know some actual players in the game that have a silly spelled name and they not a botter. -.-
Just dont want to hear how some unfortune soul got banned cause "now botts have silly spelled names too!" :(

Great commits! Agreed on the BOTS on KEN!! I also think the none BOTS that are of higher level and just take out the lower levels in FV Beach because they can should have to be sent to ADEN HELL! Even though KEN is Non-PVP, there are still places that people can get you if you are not playing attentions for someone to PK you!

The botters should be reported. The only way that we can help NC Soft is by reporting the BOTs. If they are not reported then the GMs can not watch a players actions. I also try to speak someone when they come though the screen where I am hunt and BUFF them if posible! That is just how I am. Help everyone be one great Lineage Family!
