CaptSturm's Status Update - 09/09/06

LoA content on Public Test looks solid. I need to gather the crew here in Monday an conduct a Go or NO Go meeting. (if you've got any showstoppers, post 'em or send 'em into support)

Working on a morph event, but it won't be fancy--just Platinum morphs for all and other select types (kurtz, dk, de, demon...) for a few days. More on the timeline next week.

Bot detection/enforcement continues. I've been questioned about this, people making the case for friends that were banned and such--I've reviewed the Customer Service procedures and am satisfied they are taking proper precautions to avoid false positives, including more that one GM observing infractions, adequate review/observation time, ensuring "walk thru" hacks also pass thru npcs, etc. I'll respongd to PMs regarding potential legal action, but just notify all: I'm not on the legal team and at any time that is mentioned to me, the conversation with me is over an you'll need to direct any and all future conversations through our legal department. To sum up, I'm satisfied with the progress, but we'll continue with the pursuit.

So, post LoA rollout we'll have a couple of options--to be honest, I'm not sure which route we'll take. The options are:
A "quality of life" publish to upgrade the LoA content.
A drive to publish the Episode 5 content.
An effort to publish Episode 5 WITH LoA "quality of life" upgrades.

Now, I've got the Episode 5 client/patcher content pretty well put together-text, sounds, music, maps, art and such. But I'm still working on acquiring all the server assets. I'm also needing full documentation and the translation of such docs.

If there is any delay in that, I'll very likely just move forward with a LoA upgrade, including such things as BBS droprate, Prince Set change to no longer require the ammy (ammy becoming a +5ish elemental resist), armor/hp adjustments specific to knights, sayha x-bow bolts doing different damages, look at firewall, and start on some of the boss adjustments. Not saying I'll get to that, but that's on the short list.

I hope that covers it, but that's all I can remember for now and I'm tired. I'm going to bed so I can get up early and shoot some birds (hopefully I can take enough to do some grilling on Sunday). I'll likely be out of contact tomorrow, but I'll poke in on Sunday or Monday. Y'all play nice.
