More tweaks and a re-run of Halloween 2004 coming!!!

The LoA content publish has seemed to go off smoothly. While there are concerns and suggestions specific to how the ruleset behaves, the publish itself has gone smooth.
(I was very glad to see that Hell was immediately filled on Dep and that the DBA guys correctly zero’ed the PK counts. Whew.) Now that we have LoA live, we’ll be immediately working to address suggestions from the community.

The in development stuff:
We’re making some changes to some Knight armor and such. Most items are getting an extra point of AC per piece and others are also getting an AC bonus when equipped. (I know there have been suggestions to regen while overweight, but that’s not possible and we’ll have to skin this cat another way.) We’ll have the details of that when it goes to the Public Test Server. This is an ongoing design change and we should expect more changes over time.
Prince Sets are being changed, the amulet will no longer be a part of the set. The ammy will now have elemental resist for its respective element. The min lvl requirements are being changed to 40 (which doesn’t really change much, the set bonus was always at 40 anyway, but previously you could equip some of the pieces earlier). Crafting requirements are also changing (listed on the NPC text ingame).
KG ring is changing. I’ve went back to my hacked together dice routine to determine the random outcome.
I’ve made some changes to the Grim Reaper, he’s more difficult and I’ve increased the range and frequency of his drops. (I doubt this is the final pass on this and will continue to tweak this—and other bosses).
Looking at a potential Firewall fix. Well see how that works, this is a first pass on that as well.

No ETA on when this will go to the Public Test Server, but hopefully before the end of the week.

Test Server wipe will likely happen next Monday.

Episode 5…well, if work was easy, they’d call it fun and charge me admission every day. Let’s just say that its not going as quickly as I’d like. Update on this as I get more info, but I’m expecting a delay to getting this to PTS.

Bots. We’re banning them as we get reports and confirm. Continue sending reports or accusing as you notice them, we’re making an impact but have more to do.

What’s next? More boss changes, more class balancing stuff (DE and Mage) and would like to try and get some more unique items ingame. Oh yeah…poly event—tentative plans for the weekend of Sept 21 – Sept 24 (noon to noon CDT). When this is “official”, we’ll make a post. Halloween is coming up quick too, I’m thinking we may do a re-run this year unless bunches of folks object. Anyone recall the 2004 event? That seemed popular, another go of that one perhaps?
