If NC is doin somethin, we will be happy to know abt it. But I am afraid they are not coz, I still see lotsa bots in Oren. When Capt came back, I felt the diff. in few days where there were not much of bots seen anywhere in LOA. But now its not the case.

I've just returned to the game after a few years and wanted to make a trial account to see how the game is doing before I renewed my old account.

they're going to not allow trial accounts with the intent of 'hindering the creation of bots'.
unless they're actually doing something about the cheaters IN THE GAME, then the only people who are going to be PAYING for a NEW account are the botters themselves!

The only people this regime stops from wanting to enter the game is REAL PLAYERS.

if the initial 10$ payment IS the equivalent of buying lineage from a shop, then we should be paying 50 cents MAX for these outdated graphics and sounds and shoddy support.

they know bots will open new accounts.... if they get banned... so of course they will charge money to open accounts....

ya thats because.. theres a lot of bot accounts now.... so everytime they closed and account.. bots would reopen them... so i think that they are charging 10 bucks for every account u open x,x... ya i know its sux for everybody x.x

Why should we have to pay MORE of the price for botters? Thats the most ridiculous thing NC has done. I have a solution: BAN THE BOTTERS!!! Its not hard to see who's botting, and when you have 300 people reporting the same botter, well, get a clue. o.o

I totally agree Gwen!! I really don't understand why it is so hard for NCSoft to just BAN them. Yes! They will create another account and have to get a new KEY!

I would think that, if you already have an account, then all you would have to do is to re-activate it, and not have to "re-buy" it.
Although, I'm not sure how that would work considering the new Play NC account thing that came up not to long ago.
The way I understood it, a "New" account and the $10 thing was the equivelant of goin to the store and buyin' the box, as you would for a new game that is only bought in stores.
If one was to already have "bought" the game, and deactivated it, then I would think reactivation would be like simply re-installing it from cd.
I duno how this works w/NC though .. just my thoughts ..

To my knowledge, bot accnts are made to make real time cash money. They make game money (adena) and sell it for real cash in life time. So its nothing they loose or 10$ is not a big deal for them when they make money of it. But somethin has to be done abt it.

They should make it 500$ to make a new account, then see how many bots will return.

Bit harsh on everyone else though. I suggest they just get cracking with the bot-banning or bot-prevention. Heck, they have daily updates for all I care, if they want to change something to make bots 'dead' till they crack it.

D2 used something where it would download a small program at random times that would scan to see if the memory was being modified to hack or bot.

Valo - increasing the money may reduce any new players too apart frm Bots. But as Ingen says, something has to be done abt detecting Bots and banning them in a continous manner.

If NC cant gaurd their servers, then no point in having one.
