What BEST sums up your feelings about the Halloween event?

i am not dis-agree. The event should us things we would not normally see is correct! But when the drops for low levels none and high levels are plenty - HUMMM -
The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

It was a combination of things!

PPL that missed day one was shafted - because it seemed like the event was high level driven. My level 46 DE was partied with a level 55+ knight and a deers, dire bats gave zels and dai. When i killed one - i received candy and 1 of 10 dropped 10k.

Gold pumkins where dropped? I spent all my time each day after work until going back to work on the game. No gold things here. Only 3 silver!

The best thing was that we received the level 52 polies at the end!

I got a gold pumpkin. It gave me a cursed diamond ring. I added it to the stack of 8 I already had from hunting pirate island dungeon.

Like CageMage wrote, a combination of things.

Im not complaning too, because I got an ok ammount of stuff, but not like others that got around 10 or more of each Silver Cloak, Z-ring, Tsu, etc.

If you missed day 1 you got shafted, and I am one of those that missed first day.

Also low level people kinda got shafted, some never stood a chance against the weak bosses, saw a lot of ppl die to them, and the bats, jack-o-lantern, lesser demon never dropped anything special, except a Bronze pumpkin once every 10-15 mob.

Gold pumpkins, well all pumpkins for that matter should have had a slight increase in droprate, I never saw a Gold, and only got 3 Silver.

The end with DK/DE morph was sweet, should have used it to level on.

No golden pumpkin for me, got some nice drops but not a single s-cloak or Z-ring :(
It was not really fun more frustrating... Bapho's pretty much ruled the event. Only when the dk morph came it was a little fun.

Futher more their was no DK and Baranka spawn as promised! I had more fun in the X-mass event, I'm glad the event is over.

Where to start, it would become a book.

Personally I am glad its over.
Thanks to the investment of a mass of time I managed to get a few items like Tsu, Silver Cloak and such. But they are no use to me cause royals cant wear or equip the interesting items. So some of my friends, who where not be abel to attend due work, will be happy about the presents.
I never saw a gold pumpkin and my 5 silver ones gave rings I never will use.
Bronze Pumpkin where ok, since occasionally they had essence in.
About the Skelly Boots in the pumpkins I not want to comment.

Let it me put this way.
Basically the event was ok. But with the serverrestart the spawn was messed up and never recovered. And with all the Linex User out there it was plain frustration.

Those guys didn't need destroy to pull all drops.
And as for destroy I not need to comment.
Personally I dont want to play with Hacker anymore, so I am considering alternatives since NC-Soft did not act.

Well, I for one Really enjoyed it !!
For a couple of reasons, which you are about to read !! 8)
1) Although to most ppl, alot of these drops may have seemed
"cheap" or "junk" .. to players like me who can't just go
hunt them up they were a nice change of pace from just drooling
over them in GTV as they sit in some shop at 10+ Mil.
2) Any time NC does Anything that builds up stacks of N/B Zels/Dais
Its Gotta be good !! (Kinda like Smuckers eh !)
3) It was an excellent Pledging (spelling??) experience as I had
a helluva time runnin' with my family !!
Anyhow, I got to get some goddies, see a few Boss monsters I'll never see again for a Loooooong time (er .. next Halloween) and basicly do nothing( or next to it) but sit at my comps and play the game I love the most !!! LINEAGE !!!!!! o.0

Ok, before everyone flames me, let me say right up front that yes, I am one of those lucky bast*rds who got destroy, so yes, for me, it would HAVE to be considered a great event.

HOWEVER, that being said, I averaged playing over 19 hours a day for the entire event, even taking the 31st off work to play. I ended enough bosses to accumulate approximately 500 assorted enchants...my total pumpkin take? 2 silver and zero gold....now, it's not a greed thing...I REALLY wanted that exhiliaration and anticipation of opening a gold pumpkin (I got 8 in 2004 and saved them all to open at the end of the event). I'm an elf, and I would have been fine even getting a charisma elixir...its the fun that's the thing.

Now, as for my real complaint about this event, it has more to do with how the event was staged. I've played since beta, and this is the only event I can recall where players had almost no communication from NC...no details, just rumors. Look back at the 2004 Halloween event posting in Lineage news...tremendous detail and very good communication. And talk about an anti-climax...it just sort of evaporated away over the last few hours with the spawn rate dropping to almost nil. That's NOT the way to end an event. So yes, I did well in the event, but was it nearly as much fun as 2004? No, I'm afraid not (and I haven't even mentioned the bots, cheaters, and out-right thieves).

My only real problem with it was that I was under the impression that it was to get more difficult over time. I was looking forward to the spawn from 2004 again, since last time I was level 3X. I didn't really get many good things either but killing the various bosses was fun, but I did miss Death Knight and The Big "B", since I think they're some of the coolest bosses in the game. (melee <3). Other then that... it was a good event for me!
