I used it for what it was intended for also. I checked my GTV char to see what sold. I viewed storage to see exactly how many of what I had when crafting items and what not.

But as always, the good(legit) people suffer because of what the bad(non-legit, SCUM OF ADEN, should rot in hell) people do.

thats allright they can't even update the main page of the website so don't feel so bad about something so complicated as new user creation .\/.

Told you about SUPPORT!! Last night I had a lag death on FI! Lagged for about 2 minutes, then the message "You have been disconnected"! So i did disconnect and could not log back in! Yeap! I was trying for 5 minutes and 36 seconds to login, but Lin would say "that user already logged in". Isn't that nice - I am that player!

Anyway talk to monitor. alot of "I see" and then the famous "check with your ISP because our server is actully working great". That was the BS of the night!

If you need support - call your FRIENDS becuase Lin does not provide any!

Well... Not to defend 'no-support' but that lag was on your end. I did not hear of or see any lag myself. It was smooth sailing on FI for me.

Not really becaue I could log in on my other account with the character that was on FI! Oh...guess what Bayou was still on too! Plus after developing networks for the last 13 years and maitaining them with the server 38 server we have on them - I think I can tell when it is a server issue and an actual network problem!

Sounds like you fell victim to the D/C time out. That would be the one they put in to prevent people from force quitting. After a crash it can take a while for your character to actually leave the server. It happens occasionally. I was just letting you know that it wasnt the server, because not everyone lagged or d/c. It could however have been a hop on the way to the server.

Frankly, I don't understand what NC gets from having (and keeping) forum account registration down. The only think I could see would be that passwords are stored on the same machine that game login passwords are, and that there is an issue with security that they won't mention publically.

I had another theory but it seems far fetched...
They are not allowing new people to register because MOST of the new people are nothing more than cheating/hacking/bot using low lives that shouldnt get a chance to voice there opinion.

I was not jumping on you!!! I think it might have actully been because my parenter. They were having lag issues on there end a few day ago and still having it. I was just stating that out of almost 4 years of game play this is only the 2 D/C which is great, but support is the same old support that with a gen.. asnwer. Could answer my questions..."I am glad you see it ok." I enjoy play anywhere, and understand lag does happen as each packet passes through the multiple routes on that make the Internet. I never heard of this time out on Lineage, but I will play that game! I never heard of this forced disconnect either!

I believe the real reason the boards no longer have a registration is because of the migration of a player's account information into PlayNC and they have yet to make a way to connect a Board/Forum account to a players account like it once was. This would allow a banned user to exploit this and keep flaming/posting rediculous things without the fear of being banned in game. (Purely a guess though I could be absolutely wrong). I wish I could post on the forums, but alas... I must read only what people type. Good source of information when the flaming is left out.

Also I to have been killed by the disconnect timeout, unfortunately it was because my ISP was horrible at the time. Modem would reset for no reason(about a 1-3 second reset) and I could not log back into lineage to try and save myself.

Yes the same here! It is bad when I know more then the monitors!!

Whilst I can't comment on the exact problem, I can assure you that the registration issue isn't just NCsoft being evil.

The Lineage Boards are getting out of control. It is not any fun reading htem anymore especailly since we can come and stay up-to-date!!

There is method to NC's evil. Unfortunately we will not find out what it is, ever. I would imagine that the inability to register a board account goes hand in hand with the inavailability of Linweb and the extra money to create a new lineage account. They are all there for the same reason(s).

Linweb is down for one reason... So that people selling or buying accounts can not verify the character/level/items before the sale using linweb.

I used it to check and see what I need to work on next and see what I have to sell in GTV! Not everyone used LinWEB the wrong way! I know alot of people taht used it for the good side!
