A while ago we heard about an elf, and in hearing about this elf we became enjoined in his story. In essence we became one with this elf, if only for a few brief mouse clicks. Yet where our ties with this elf ended mere lines of text later this elf’s story continued to unfold. The elf in question is none other than BombSquad, a Male Fire Elf on the Depardieu server.

Perhaps you do not remember the tale of the BaboSquad as he leveled an 18 constitution, 12 strength, 12 dexterity elf to 52 and subsequently to 20 constitution… but you should. Because that was just the beginning of story which unfolded… like a badly planned high school prom.

It was then, in the light of the very moon that shone so bright one crisp day that BombSquad’s character was destroyed. Now when I say destroyed I mean deleted. This was but a week before they added that you had to be less than level 30 to delete your character immediately. There is also a funny addendum to that story which involved a prince doing the same thing, thinking he was logged into test a few days prior.

Now sans any items and a 21, 31, and 41 charms and after considerable nagging, BombSquad began to level once more. Now he began to add dexterity and upon reaching level 55 had a solid 15 dexterity. With only three more dexterity to go, he was grabbed, nay he was ensnared by the snarling and strangely seductive idea of a full con deleveled elf. When asked why he decided to do this on an elf, even though many people claimed it was stupid, he responded, “The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they will be when you kill them,” though personally I think it is because the baboness is strong with this one.

Regardless, Bombsquad leveled to 59, reaching 24 constitution and was faced with a tough choice. Rumors began to surround him that episode five would bring severe changes that would make his character worthless if he did not delevel it soon. "Besides... I wanted to be the first deleveled elf in America."

Eventually he decided to err on the safe side and deleveled his character to 10. Strangely though his stats hit those of a level 1 character at level 24… including his MP.

Now though, BombSquad is leveling back up, slowly but surely like Thomas the Tank engine or whatever the little engine that could’s name was. Now his average HP roll is a 17 which is a bit higher than the average of 16.5 for a constitution of 24 at this rate, he will have more HP at level 50 than he did when he did when he deleveled.

When asked if he planned on taking a break on his way back up I was told quite simply that “sharpening the ax will not delay the work of cutting the wood.”
