In a post on the City of Heroes message board, Cricket announces her move from CoX to other NC titles, possibly including Lineage!
What does this mean? Well likely she'll be moving in to fill Nomad's mighty smelly shoes and that Mistryl will go back to her position at Lineage 2.
It should be noted that LineageOne *have* attempted to bribe Mistryl into staying :)
Heroes and Villains,
Many of you may have noticed the NCsoft Community Coordinator position that was posted on PlayNC.com several weeks ago. This position is for City of Heroes/City of Villains, and it is currently being filled. This means you can expect to see a new red name soon.
One thing I should point out is that this position is located within the offices of Cryptic. So not only will this person be working right beside Lighthouse, but they will also be right next to the developers! This is a good thing, and I firmly believe that City of Heroes/City of Villains will benefit greatly from this decision.
My life at NCsoft Austin will continue on; I have accepted a community manager position within the company. If you play Auto Assault, Exteel, Dungeon Runners and/or Lineage 1 - you better look out! Cricket is heading your way! I will be posting on those boards in the near future.
This was not an easy decision for me. I will never forget my first day on the job here, back when I was a GM in beta. I knew the game was going to go places. I just knew it and I felt so lucky to be on board. I'm so proud of where the game has gone, and what lies ahead. I'll also never forget my first day in community. I've learned so much during my time here, and want to thank you all for sharing the experience with me.
My last day on City of Heroes/City of Villains will be Jan. 31st.
Thank you again for all for the great times - it has been an honor. Thanks go out to the devs, producers, sales, PR, Lighthouse, CuppaJo, Arctic_Sun, account support, tech, and marketing. And let's not forget the GMs (I feel like I've known you all forever) and QA (thanks for putting up with all my questions!) Most importantly, I want to thank our community. Without you, where would we be?

They do ban. In recent months they have gotten some of the hackers on Ken that have been around the longest... But... That doesnt make up for the fact that it took them years to finally get them. A lot of the game is changed by a cheater that stays around that long before punishment is handed out.
They need to ban in waves, that is how they would make the most impact.

Okay, here's a suggestion. Ask Crickette to get an account on here. Until they open up registration on linboards again, a lot of people can't even give any feedback or input or anything. I'm not requesting she even replies, but an inbox that we could actually write to with our views etc would be very welcome, and give the feeling of NC actually interested in listening.
I can not suggest that to her, but could someone copy/paste onto lineage official boards for me?

Maybe instead of getting more people to 'manage the community'... They should get some damn people to ban the cheaters that are causing the community to be so pissed off. Then you dont have any 'NC Sucks at everything' threads to cut and paste useless responses into. Those useless responses dont help any. They only make us more mad that all we get out of them is more useless responses instead of ACTION.

I honestly don't see why banning is so hard anyway, just put a new clause in the ToS: We can ban you for any length of time for whatever reason we want.
I don't mean that they should then abuse it, but it should make it easier when it's really quite blatant botting and cheating, but they find it hard to get the definite proof that a character is actually cheating, and not just playing in an extremely bot-like way 20 hours a day..
If it is in the ToS, and you agree to it, then you won't have a legal case, so that's one worry less for NC when banning bots. Then maybe they could ban the lvl 10 blatant botter before it's sold of as a lvl 65 or whatever..

They already can ban for any length of time, for whatever reason they want... They just dont do it.
What is the point in having a TOS service if they dont enforce it? This companies business practices are the most bizarre I have ever seen. They say all day..
"we will ban you" "we will ban you" "we will ban you" "we will ban you" but they dont do it. Or if they do do it, they ban about 1/100 of the cheaters a month.
