anyone else having trouble getting passed the sexy new character selection screen? when i select a character lineage just shuts down without error or anything.

It is explained it in the official explanation of how to connect to test server:
"Create a copy of your Lineage game folder by copying the contents of C:\Program Files\Lineage into a new folder such as C:\Program Files\Test Lineage. It is important that you do not use your existing game client to access the server as it may affect your ability to play on the public servers."
