I've tried hunting Fire Valley Beach with Roo and a gaggle of low level pets. The experience is actually really good for both of us, she uses way fewer pots as I get around to occasionally healing her, and I don't kill my pets too often...my bunny and cat (Felix) keep leveling and promptly getting them selves killed, but they help to slow down the golem packs. I think Elmore is 7 and Felix is 9. Note the spells hotkeyed...
