Question
I have been killed 3 times by a supposidly freindly player that when restarting I have turned negative seven thousand chaotic and have to start all over again. How are they doing this and what causes it? It is getting old having to get back to above thirty thousand points to not drop items when killed, are these bots doing this? Thanks Bonmonsus
Answer
It's been known for this to happen to people who are hunting with pets or summons... Usually because your pet has been shot and then eaten someone. Always keep an eye on your animals.

You have been Chao-Made. If
You have been Chao-Made.
If you are hunting with animals, there is a 'tactic' (cough... exploit) that some players are using that will turn you chao before you even realize it. They then kill you before you realize it, and you drop your items. The whole process takes about 10 seconds.
What they will do is tag one of your pets while your pets are engaged with a monster, or multiple monsters. The player that tagged your pet is then killed by one of their accomplices, and resurrected. Thus removing their 'pink' status.
Your pet, which is now no longer engaged with the monster, then turns and attacks the player that tagged it. This player dies to your pet, thus making you Chaotic. His accomplices then attack and kill you, before you even know what happened. Chances are they are hiding in invis on your screen, or possibly off screen.
Ways to avoid it..
Dont hunt with pets.
Always keep an eye on those people around you. Usually its the same people that do the 'trick' each time. Note their names, if you see them on your screen, leave.
If you use dogs, carry a whistle. If you see your pet running off screen, call it back, or venz.
Detect often, or anytime you think you may be in danger. If a few players come out of invis when you detect, dont wait to find out why. Just teleport away.
Hope this helps.
NC refuses to accept that this is not an exploit of the pink or summon system. They allow this to happen, thus ruining the fun of the game, the fun of hunting with pets.
Also have been hit with this
Also have been hit with this several times. The player attacking sometimes doesn't even go pink but stays a nice shade of blue. Have brought it to the attention of several monitors and NC is fully aware of this, and as usual is doing little to nothing about it. I was actually told once by a monitor that it was just part of the game.
thanks this helps alot.....
