Lastabads

Now that we've all had a chance to 'settle in' to episode two. What does everyone thing of the Lastabad invasions in SWL, the Oasis etc.

Is it true that they only come at night in SWL etc?

I seem to find them everytime I am out. I can not tell if it is time related at all. I would just say, stay away from upper right portion of SWL as it seems they eminate from that end of it. The larger wastelands yuo seem to have to stay below where the BB's tend to spawn to avoid the lastabad. Giran's outer walls to the west seem to crawl with them. The upper right of the desert from the oasis is a pretty easy place to find some of the nastiest of the lastabads such as the Mages and Summoners. Those have also been seen by me , along with Generals everywere cept left side of Giran. I would not be suprised to se a gen pop out there, but so far just thieves and guards. I have yet to figure out how to deal with the mages. The genrals take a lot of dmg to kill and the summoners have thier pets to keep your hands full. The thieves and guards go down relatively easy to FS and other fire attacks. Not to mention straightforward melee attacks. Killing them from a distance at first is preferable if they have numbers. I'd still be hesitant to take the Royal down there!

Anyone tried plucking them off with a bow?

How does that work?

Well, if you take Roo out with some lvl 30 pets or higher, You could tap guards and thieves with bow then be ready to heal pets. They will take attantion off you shortly after pets hit and try to pick of pets. They do less dmg on a pet than say a Beholder, so its easy if nothing is on you to keep pets healed while still hitting Lastabad from a distance with bow. Send pets after archers first if they come in groups. You can out run guards and generals at first if you need to. Save the gen til last. That is how I hunt with Elf. Still, I know not how to hunt Lastabad mages without a healer around to keep me alive. Then again, I've never fought them with my mage. Wonder how effective counter magic and being able to heal myself would be. Also I have not learned if they are weak to fire attacks also. ~ Xazu, etc...

nope they in swl all the time... they spread out a lil so easier to handle (unlike lastabad cave >.<).
"settle in"? so far it stinks worse than Goats room. they get the bugs out, then ill settle in.
