New Player starting, need advice

1. Elf (Con to 18) (then add to int after 50+) ~(Use your bow + pets later on if you can get them to make money)
2. Con 18 Base Always (Then either str/dex/wis for DE after lvl 50) (int/dex for Elf after lvl 50). It is VERY ez to lvl to high levels, dont think you will be stuck at 49 forever. The game only gets ezer the more you play.
3. MAke sure to do the Talking Scroll Quest (it will give you free teleport scrolls to various towns as well as a -1ac ring when you complete it)
4. Make sure you have 100% food guage and the higher the con the better the regen
5. The more Negative it is, the Better -125 to -129 is the best possible ac you can achieve (I personally have -5x ac with my mage)
6. If you have done the talking scroll quest you will gain a few free Identify scrolls which you can use to identify your weapon to see the stats.

BTW~ What server do you play and what name, im sure people will help in game if they know who u are haha

The other reason your hp may not be regening is because your weight bar is above 50%,

It needs to be 48% or below if you wish to regen hp and mp. Later on when you get Blood to Soul for ELF you will be able to convert hp to mp and then use that mp to heal for more hp then you initiialy lost. and if you keep doing it over and over your HP and MP will be maxed out

Im curenlty on LoA server, since i think it's the most popular one.
But if someone sais "Hey, join that server. We got great guilds/people and we also use teamspeak =)". I'll drop everything(since it's not that late) and will join the server i was advertised with.

- That would be KEN (but you cant pvp thier o.O)

But hey LoA has some great people too :P,, its a big place, so it will be hard finding the right guild aka pledge in lineage 1

if you go to linuncensored.com, you can look at many blogs for pledges that are located in LoA

knight is the worst class to start off fresh, id recommend Elf.

My con base elf is doing very little dmg =/ it's abit hard to xp.
Also got another question/issue.
Whenever i move in the game i get this game glitching/jumping/freezing feel. Like my computer is Pentium2 with 32mb video and 128mb ram and im trying to play Doom3 on max setings =)
Hope you got the idea. is is spose to be like that? =)

the game feels choppy if ur not on haste/ windwalk for elf.. or brave/haste for knight..

but if its not that what u are refering to .. then maybe its lag.. or ur video card needs to be updated orrrrrrrrrrrrr in the most likely scenerio.. ur gona need to dump that MAC and get a PC :P

My computer specs are far ahead of Maximum settings for this game.
Im also running WinXp. I did tho had a problem with Lin.bin file at the start, but it got solved after getting new video driver as odd as it may sound.
My Elf had normal haste from newbie buffer, was that spose to be enough to stop the choppynes?

I think the polymorphs mite help too, but eventually your eyes will get used to the bad frame rate QQ

Ya, it seems like maybe it is just the horrible frame rate.

When I have to quit for a while, then come back a week later or whatever, its like... How did I play this game like this?

hehe if u looking for non pvp then ken is good
But if u think ull want to pvp later on then go loa/dep
Ive heard good things about dep, ppl who i know from dep stay in dep and dont change servers
and well i know lots of ppl who played loa and moved to ken!
So if u got the time, maybe try all 3 of the servers o.O !

i think dep is the best server because i like to pvp and on dep there is alot of pvp pledges.. mainly PowerOfDep and Paldo fight each other like 24/7 -.- it gets kind of old..

what's the best char for a new player to start?

also, whats more important to + first, wep or ac?

When I play on test I choose a knight because its ez to make money cause of x5 drop rate .. but on live servers it not like that so I would start as an elf..

and being an elf .. if you hunt properly in oren waste land you wont get hit often and wont have to use pots or even armor.. so my advice would be to + your weapon first before your ac.. the faster u kill the more money u can make :)

A fast way to get some of the earlier levels is to track down some water rings, grab a mail breaker and just own the wizards. Fast exp and they don't damage you!

And I think at the lower levels the generals/elmore soldiers hurt more if they get a chance to hit u

if it is still extremely choppy after getting haste there is also a driver problem. Had that ussue with my 8800 and I just had to keep going farther back in drivers until I got the right one. L1 is picky or nvidia is just skipping something >.>

**when I say extremely choppy I mean like you walk left and its like you have two frames at a time, standing and then a movement one then standing again. REALLY choppy not just the normal un-smooth walk w/o something ontop of haste.

I also get chopyness if my virus scanner runs, so its a good idea to turn that off if it does..

con all the way for any character you ever make.. you can get str and dex with items and spells, but you can't make up for that much HP with AS alone.. elves are good to start because they can teach you how to stay alive in tough situations and you make more money as an elf and items are cheaper and easier to come by
