Most of us are using the ingame slang and talk about Zel's and Dai's, but only few know where those names come from. Lineage in origin is a Korean game and therefore the names of all items, NCPs and monsters are originaly in Korean. Here a list of the orgiginal Names back from the Beta.

Damn it's real nice to know, cause it's been so long ago since I played open Beta I knew they where from korean but couldnt remind the exact names. Now, people wont say "do you have a verr" or "dont forget get to bring a vel", people still say "I venzed" but wont use venz meaning for a scroll. Its quite funny how even if i used to play test I didnt remember all this.

Actually, the names come from NetHack (1987). The game that NC copied to create the base for Lineage.

They even had to change a few names (Shelob -> Arachnevil, Uruk Hai Shield -> Orcish Shield) because most of the game was just a copy (those two were taken from LOTR).

Lol I liked so much the name
Lol I liked so much the name Uruk Hai Shield. but well tower shield was the one for knights then people realized that elven shield was better. I remember my first character, i wanted to go to TI but had no money and a mage raised skeleton from above then turn undead them and let me get the money to pay for the boat, oh i miss this time. Even using the elf night view hehe
