Ancient Leather Armor
Troll Belt
+9 Crossbow
+9 Rapier
I have all the ring sets and amulets that are significant to my class.
Im attempting the grind to 50th and have 55% more to go. I did some crooked math and I should have enough wafers to reach 50th so I am making surplus adena on my hunts right now. I would like to set a goal for gear but im not sure what I should work to.
Should I attempt to get a +8 bow gun?

Work on getting the gear I have now more +'s?
I have the willpower to save up the adena I need for a bowgun or the gear. I have been saving up materials to make more BOE's (I plan on doing a blow fest when i get 10 of them to +7)
Start with the small stuff.

Upgrade your gloves(bracer) and boots, itll be cheapest first.
From there it depends on your goals and your hunting area. Obelt would be good for longer hunts.
You could upgrade more armor pieces, but they will be more expensive. (+8boe/ets are 18m+ each)
You could go for the bowgun. And get a shield along with that. Or you could go for something non gear related like a charm for leveling.
Its up to you. Just have fun along the way!

I think my ultimate goal
I think my ultimate goal would be to solo hunt the Forgotten Island area.
Right now I grind in Fire Valley, I get to play on average 2 hours a night so I know its going to be a long time before I can even think about that. Im hoping by the time that does happen the Exotic Vitalize spell will make the ogre belt a non factor.

i would go better ac first.. then attempt a weapon, im hopeing this event will do good and give me a Kasier X-bow.. I currently use a +7 brave xbow and have been collecting items very slowly to make it kiaser.. lol i doubt i will ever make it the nessecary ingrediatns are crazy.

Although chances are, you could level a de to 50 way before you got the Heart of Dragon to create the bow.

get the bowgun because you also get an ac upgrade with the shield you get to carry.. most of your +8 or +9 armor is gonna cost a lot of money so the 8bg will help you kill faster and make more money.. i would get +6gop tho instead of the bracers.. the +2 hit just really isn't worth it

I'm assuming like most elfs,
I'm assuming like most elfs, you can no longer get to 100 MR with a sivler cloak so I'd get a +5 bcomr for when you need the 100 MR. Then I'd work on upgrading the bracer and boots.
I know you didn't ask for leveling advice, but then I'd switch to earth (if you aren't already) and head up to ToI 34 to power level.

34 is tough solo unless u
34 is tough solo unless u know the 1-1 spots and your over lev 50, have uber ac ect. yumi vs bowgun on 34 wont make much diff with the ac issue do the most damage you can in the shortest time is the best advice i can give heh. i have -9x ac and still can be tough at times. if u are under 50 get a mage or tank to go with you you will still get good xp. learning the maps takes time and patience.

He's an elf. Thirty-four should be a piece of cake once he gets used to it. It's where my elf went from 49.30 to 50.
You just need to take it slow and make liberal use of earthbind and entangle. Also, remember tripple arrow is your friend up there.

I hunt with an elf on 34 all the time... And its like elf heaven up there.
Out of the 3 skel pike pack, 75% of the time Cosa will kill 2 of them before I kill the one I am working on.

Another option would be the
Another option would be the outer area of the Temple of Shadows. It's not as good as 34, but if you are worried about being overwhelmed it's a slower pace and therefore a good alternative. Just don't wander inside solo or it could spell trouble.

I'm really looking for the most bang for my buck.
a +8 bowgun/+7 es/+7 New King Glove generally would run 70ish mil (thats on the expensive side) which equates to about 5.8 mil per ac. I would lose +1 damage but gain 12 points of AC.
the +7 ib/+7 bracer combo would run 22 mil so I would be spending 5.5 mil per ac, but only gain 4 points.
both are really moot right now because i think i got 7 mil saved up in my piggy bank O.o, but im a patient guy so ill eventually get to my goal it just might take me awhile or a really long while
