Event - Week 1

Here's a suggestion that I think would help balance things out a bit.

It's hard to make a specific suggestion without knowing exactly what you are going to do, but vaguely put ...

Why not lower whatever it is that has been dropping too much and at the same time raise the drop rate a bit on some of the other stuff to both even things out and make sure the enjoyment level does not drop any more than necessary.

For example, let's say you (like us) have noticed that mage drops are outpacing knight/DE/Elf drops by a HUGE margin. Why note lower the mage drops and increase the rate on the stuff for those other classes?

I actually thought of this too late in the testing process to suggest it, but I thought it would be interesting to have an event like this where the uber drops changed every few days to keep it interesting.

Do we get to find out what you are nerfing? Or we just get to know that you are nerfing... Almost seems like no need for one with out the other though...

But its destroy, know it is >.< Which I guess isnt to big of an issue. And the damn kweapons!!! (to many of em!)

Maybe if you lower the drop rate on items like that, can you bump up the drop rates on some of the lower end items? n/btsu's pg silver cloak etc and enchant scrolls. Not that there are not alot of enchant scrolls dropping. There are just as many as halloween event. The only difference is, halloween event we got them all to ourselves cause we were soloing, this event, we have to split the same amount between the entire group. Which means less for everyone overall.

Just dont do like last event... Dont go from a lot to absolutely none (the real grim reaper still hasnt recovered, his drops arent right...)

And I agree with Chryses... Over 4/5's of our drops are mage only. But the only thing about bumping up the drop rate on the other items, is that the other items are all uber items. So you cant bump the rate on say, Tarak items or DK sword or Ant wings to much... But you can give us way more Silver cloaks and pgs and tsu's and btsu's to make up for it. Maybe you cant make a bunch of high end knight/elf items drop... But you can give us a bunch of low end ones to blow up... What knight doesnt want a +9btsu? o.o

Are advance, holywalk, and blizzard even possible drops from this event? It would be nice to see them added if they are not. Its just my opinion but to be able to walk a little bit faster should not cost 12-18 mill to do so..... If it worked like a brave spell and attack speed was increased also then i could see it costing that much or more. Advance most lower lvl mages cant go hunt for it and have to pay lots for it to some 60+ uber caracter that is rich anyway. yes i know orc mage drops it but who wants to waste a lifetime trying to get it from one of those...

Lowering drop rates would make this event NOT A SUCCESS -.- as it is.. I haven't gotten anything of great value. Please don't lower the rates even further.

I dont know if everyone will agree with me, but as a mid-lvl player, I dont feel much involved in this event. Aside from the part with the cloak (which is great!), but the part of island bosses. I went to the Lineage Forum and read a post title "Vote for...", and I strongly agrees with the suggestion of opening up the morphs for the mid/lower-lvl players. Since it was impossible to post a reply on Lineage Forum (cant apply for an account), and dont really know if Fracas will read about this.

But as the island of bosses is for upper-lvl and partied players, for a single mid-lvl player like me (and many many other single players) opening up morphs can make this event much more interesting. Yes we do have all the hunting spots open up, but it doesnt really change anything as before the event. We still cant hunt on some of the places because of our low lvls.

If you read this Fracas, plz consider opening up morphs for us~ Thanks!

Don't tweak it all to hell please! I would prefer it to be kept as is...but if you make some changes at least change the wind tears out with something useful lol.

Dont Nerf anything please, thats all I want to say.

If you remove some of the drops that you are going to remove....

Consider adding in Titan Belt to replace them o.o (how did this one not make the list?)

And add or increase the Sayha Bow as well, please ... or just add the white dragon scales to put with the tears that are dropping for some reason so people can make them.

second part adding polys too?? if they do that would be totally AWESOME!!! i did suggest this to fracas right before event went live but i was informed that they have to test it first and with the event going live there wasnt time for that.. basicly so he said no polys i was bummed but what can u do.. the swing rate for anyone under 52 is bad!! theres all kinds of swing lag, faster swing would be great my elf is so flexible that i can jump from sword to bow easy i actually carry a +7 bkat and a +7 shield with me for when i party incase a tank leaves my elf with as has 574hp shes a minitank lol.. but i would love at least Death Knight poly and Dark elf poly for the last week of even that would rock my world..

also about the drops, the kaiser edo/claw and mage items have been dropping like crazy, along with the caspa/merkyor/baltazar/sema id like to see the drops decease on them a little and have the kxbow sos dk sword sos and sayhas bow upped just a little, id really like to have both kxbow and sayhas bow id settle with one or the other but.. so much mage stuff been droppin its crazy..

if anything, add more drop possibilities such as titan belt, staff of ice queen, vigor items, beleth boots, sword of knight vald, sword of kurtz, claw of baranka, staff of beleth, staff of demon, wand of laia, etc... or other RARE or never seen items.

Ya, I am in agreement with the Poly thing, "BUT ONLY TO LVL52 POLYS" Don't make it an All Out Poly Event. Just like the Old Days 52 only would be a lot more to the lower levels and the SOLO hunters that WOW! get a whole 50% of the event (ie. A Cloak IF they can take the hits at their lvl to get one) I know a few have written support over the "Unfairness" of this event due to it being a "High Level Party Event Only" and they are feelin kicked to the curb over it. Just remember new players are prolly the only thing really keeping a game we all have loved for years around anymore, I got 5 of my buddies to join in the past 3weeks, and they left Lin2 for Lin1 they said they like the game play here better.

I think the event is just fine the way it is. I've been hunting alot and am lucky to have a solid group to hunt with. We've invested time and gotten a variety of rewards for it. There has been a heavy concentration of mage items, but elf/de/knight (nothing royal yet?) items are in there too.

I like the idea of broadening the possible drops, just because this way rare items stay rare. Everyone can have a chance to get something awesome, but not all the same. I would rather not have it be that every character has the same formerly extremely rare items.

If NC can focus attention on anything at all, let it be the lag issue, fix that and the whole server will celebrate :) Of course, they could also plant a special drop kxbow for me, wldnt complain ;)

i still think that LVL 52 poly (DK and DE) should be opened for everyone to use.. i think it would make things a little easier.. also if anyone reads this. i would like to say tat i did warn ppl that this even was going to be a GROUP EVENT and that it was going to be hard to SOLO anything alone besides rabbits, Check out string TEST BS or ME ON THE RANT, for confermation

OK the original post said we wouldn't notice the drop change if it weren't mentioned..... We've had parties out all day, the drops have dissappeared. There is little or no incentive to party up and hunt for hours this way, and the server numbers are dropping. Either the wheel back went much further than intended, or I just don't know what. If NC intended to make it a one week event, they've just about accomplished that.

Sorry to have to complain, but really the drops have dissappeared.

so we wouldnt notice a difference huh well personally i think thats bull i have noticed a HUGE difference. my pledge was averaging at LEAST one drop a night i have been on for 13 hrs and my pledge hasnt gotten anything.. we are down to getting just cash from some mops.. thats pretty much a BIG change!!!

So i am thoroughly upset with event i just came back from 2 year absense i had a 46 dex and 47 con elf. I remember the bots getting bad but now i hear there terrible and because of the NC taking action (which is good) i got banned for botting supposedly "walking through players/mops" when i was observed several times by "staff". I had just started and 2 or 3 days later i get banned not to mention i dont even know how to "bot".

But i made another char mage int/wis and I have yet to even obtain the key to get to the boss islands even with pets and summons those damn rabbits are tough. Takes 8-10 sunburst to kill the weak rabbit and then i have no mp and have to regen for2-3 minutes to kill another and i usually die.

With the nerf on drops not many ppl are even bothering these days, lots of 45+ in fire valley hunting again, (the only good thing i got out of the event freedom in FV) is gone now. I think the event, atleast for me having to start over with no money and no chance at even buying event items, is a HUGE letdown.

Well i think the cut back on drops went just a bit to far. The drops now are non exsistant. I hunted in a party for 14 hours with different people and in different areas and we got absoluutely nothing, i think that is just a weeeee bit noticeable. Glad to see that you are just making little tweeks and not real big tweek, or they wouldn't drop nothing at all, and that to be said we did kill a PHO today that had nothing on it and we weren't using any summons all tanks and healers and all partied so i think it was just a little noticeable. If you wanna make a week event PLEASE dont tell us that its going to be 2 weeks, because now it isn't an event at all, we just get to kill a few bosses that lower lvl player dont get to kill very often. Lets try to make the drops a little bit more noticeable, so you don't hear all the people complain about it. The mage items are cut down but the other items aren't dropping at all now, so the knights get the shaft again with all the DE, mage and elf things that dropped already and very few swords that are knight items.

I agree 100% with Swiftwind, MuddyWater and MrHood. I am always hunting with them. I am a 47 Con Wind Elf and I didn't get anything from the event itself at all. Some cash maybe but not enough to buy anything bur con clears. I myself have seen how much of a cut this has been. I was on for 16 hours and did not see one pice of armor or one weapon at all in that whole 16 hours.

I am highly dissapointed in this game period especialy with all the knights complaining about the lag and swing lag. I have played alot of MMO's and this one is the lowest of the lows for playability. The lag is a major problem and it needs taken care of majorly. I may not have played long but I know how a game should be played. Lag in a game is not cosher at all.

If you want this game to be the best of the best and be the highest of the highs, then fix the game right instead of beating behing the bush. And when you say something you better stand behind it with 100% not 1%. If the event was suppose to last 2 weeks then it should have staied the same but the drops just changed around. Going from something to nothing just shows how much your not doing your jobs to the best of your ability or just not doing it at all. Saying your doing it and just do a 180 and just not bother with it.

Well that is my say in this messed up event and game.
