Why does making the Sword of Silence require so much stuff?
I was going to make one but it would take everything i have... and more! It just seems like a bot item or for the super rich Bill Gates wanna be...
I am glad i didnt make it. I just bought it and it was alot cheaper than it would have cost to make it.

Umm. Beats me, but don't you find that most items in the game are like that? :)
Just check out the US-Ruleset specials on the royal-gear.... That's a LOT of gems. Why? Well it keeps us all busy hunting the little bits and pieces we need to make 'em. It also gives some of the "junk" items a bit of value.
It looks like you got a pretty good deal from your seller. Be sure to send us in a screenshot when you get it +'d up nicely!
The server doesnt even drop
The server doesnt even drop enough of the ingredients to craft one Sword of Silence in a year. And those go to the few people actually trying to make one. Before this event it would have cost over 500m and lots and lots of time to make one.
And its not even good enough to be worth that.

Well sometimes pledges will
Well sometimes pledges will help out 1 person try to make it so they would either sell the parts cheap or donate to that person..
kinda like how people sell things to pledgemates for a discount price..
if you plan to go out about it on your own then it will cost alot to make it.. but ofcourse since the event just happened you can always just get one from thier :)
I hunted in resistance
I hunted in resistance village for 16 straight weeks for holy walk. Prior to that I was in recluse for four weeks. In those 20 weeks (roughly five hours a day on average) I got 2 (TWO) Sword of Silence ingredients.
Ive spent that much time

I got about 8 of the ingredients. 2potions, a few buds, and a few venoms.

no problem roo, i used 5ndais on it and then a bdai.went +7.been huntin with it everywhere.i like the sword its a nice swordfor like when im hunt heine 4f cave.it would go off on a ekkedomthingy,make hittin it easier cuz his area attack hurts my poor little elf.ill get u screenshot in a day or so

I got an SOS from the Boss event, and you know what I really wish? That NC could create a poly that could actually switch weapons (sword to bow)...then I could silence a mop with sword and switch back to my +9bg. (yeah, I know Fracas...I am asking for the moon----LOL!)
But you have to admit its a cool idea.
