Leveling help

It's time to move on up to ToI. Specifically, ToI 31+ with an emphasis on 34.

It sounds like you are already earth which is a good start.

Take your bow, a stack of mith arrows, around 50 SGs, a dozen or so wafers and about 50 OJs.

Make sure bind and entangle are hotkeyed.

Just take your time as you get used to things. Make liberal use of entangle to thin out large packs; but save earthbind and it's higher spirit gem cost for emergencies. I used entangle a lot on swords so I could kill the skeles then worry about the dancing sword all alone.

Be careful about the archer spawns (especially at night). Your best bet until you get used to them is to just bind one of them immediately.

You'll get around .75 to .80 an hour if you stay on wafers the whole time, which I suggest. You'll get constantly replace the OJs you use and pick up quite a few nzels.

Should i be kiting the mops or standing still. I know fi the more you move the more unwanted attention you get.

I think i have 2 31st lvl scrolls left, so when i get on tonight i will give toi a go. I'll just make sure its daylight so i don't get stomped. Which i think the nighttime hours might have been the reason i got cut short the last 2 trips i attempted there.

Whether you stand and fight or kite the mops will depend on the circumstances.

It's always preferable to stand and fight if the circumstances permit it. Sometimes, though, you have to kite them. That's where entangle comes in handy. Hit a couple of the mops with that, create some distance then kill the mop or mops that are not entangled. Then start killing the entangled mops, starting with the easiest to kill and moving to the hardest to kill so you thin out the pack as much as possible before they reach you.

I would recommend figuring out where the stairs are and making good use of them. If things get too hairy, make for the stairs. Keep in mind, however, that things can be worse on the other side so you'll have to be ready to escape if you jump out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Hunt around the lower floors a bit to get used to how fast the mops are and how long it takes to kill the different types. Move up only when you are comfortable that you can easily handle anything the floor you are on throws at you.

Finally, and THIS IS IMPORTANT, keep in mind today is Wednesday. That means you will very likely have a reset spawn tonight which will make the floors more difficult that they will be on the weekend for example. If need be, take another elf with you to help manage the spawn until you are sure you can handle it on your own. Even in a party of two, the experience goes pretty quickly up there.

I love reset spawns!! It makes things quite nice! Actually I guess yesterday actually counted as some shape or form of a reset as well. I would take their advice on toi3x. I know many elves / knights that hunt there and make decent experience there.

Okay i printed out the 31-34 maps, so tonight ill give it another go. I have 2 hours of DE poly time left so hopefully that will help with the learning curb a bit.

I would have to say toi but if you are lvl 49 I would use bless of earth spell and not eskin.. it gives you a few more ac and that REALLY helps on 34...
i know bless of earth costs more mana to use, but i never used eskin on myself once i got it...
bless of earth is not that exp to pick up on ken server and in my opinion really worth it...
also as a tip.. bring enough sgems and hot key E BIND...
that spell will save your tush in a bind...
use it when u need it bbs arnt to exp on ken either now.
so with bless of earth and ebind and as a con elf I would aggree that you should OWN 31-34
but if you feel like its to hard use your summons, not only can it help you carry more pots and all the haste pots it also can beat the heck out of the dancing swords, which are hard to target while hitting other things.

I don't have bless of earth, i will have to check for that in the shops tonight. LOL now watch the price get jacked up cause I wanna buy one.

I had a sucessful trip up there (i didnt die), I played it really cautious. I stuck near the stairs the whole time (which i had to use once) and at the end of the hunt i got overwhelmed by pack and had to vez. I burned through about 75 sg's I brought 100, I need to learn to use ebind more and when to use it......

I made 1% in a little less than 2 hours, not sure how that will play out tonight without the dark elf moph. No one mentioned the poison traps >.<

I got 3 nzels too.

As you get into the groove, you should be able to increase that percent yield just a bit.

The dark elf polly is nice, but you should be fine without it. It will just be a little different.

The nzels pretty much paid for your SG cost and then the junks are all profit so that's nice.

Did you use your summon?

yes i used the summon the whole time which probably put a squeeze on the xp. I needed that extra saftey net at times though. I have one 31f scroll left, if i got the time tonight i will hit toi for another 2-3 hour run.

Oh and ty cjean for putting out the word for the bless of earth i got one at 500k.
