Dual Pink to go Live, Hell is freezing over!

Good news :)

YAY! No More Hell would be nice, the server merge tho is a no way, then it will be a 110% lag factory and I know it is just to "Save Money" but ewwwwwwwww.....

the only server merge i see, is loa being offered 1 time deal to transfer to dep or ken. just mho ^^

i've said all along NC will merge all 3 servers.. typical of a company that does not think they work for the customer base.
just like a company who chooses to have the whole community represented but the same 15 people that are allowed to use the message boards..

I like the idea of the removal of hell, but I do not like the idea of having dual pink! I just have a hard time with going pink when you are defending yourself.

I can see some good points but the bad points seem to stand out more to me than anything.

But Fracas, when I tell someone to go to Hell, they will have no place to go. ;-)

And for the record, I still hate the server merge concept. A lot of us have characters on all three servers already, and I would hate to have to pick and choose which of my characters would cease to exist.

Instead of merge the server, I would rather have some sub server under each one. When this one lagging so bad or not being stable...I can switch to another one!

I thought it was Dual as in 2(2 people going pink) , instead of duel as in a fight or challenge. I guess both could apply.

This latest post was the first time I spelled it as "duel" since, well, everyone else in the thread was doing it. We all know what we're talking about though so I say spell it however you want. :)

As for what it is, it's a change to the "when you turn pink" mechanic. Simply put, it will match what occurs in Lineage2 when players engage each other in PvP. They have a chart you can view here that helps explain it (replace "karma gain" with "gain pk count").

This will have some impact on Ken server, but very minimal in the grand scheme of things. It will effect fights in siege and combat zones outside of sieges to the extent that more people will be pink. That doesn't REALLY matter because there is nothing more to be gained or loss from killing or being killed by a pink name character.

The minimal impact comes into play in the form of difficulty healing, etc.

You can go pink for other reasons on Ken.

Which would, in theory, mean if you heal someone who just went pink for mapling someone you will also go pink and will only be able to be healed by control clicking.

Well, I am on Ken Server and do go "pink" for trying to maple bots! HaHa!

I tried to find people to test with me yesterday but my bp members didnt have test installed and the people that i asked on global didnt want to either..(well 1 wanted to, he told me to go meet on test and he never came -o-)

I have a lvl 5 Mage w/ heal and ebolt ready to test w/ someone!
I think ill need to hunt for a few res scrolls too to test out the killing and rezing aspect of the dual pink but other then that I just need someone to test w/ and the people on global that were shouting at that time on test either didnt respond back to me or would just say "??"

So anyone up for the challenge.. we can either test it later today (post 7pm eastern) or sometimes this weekend.

One of those boring days i went to cehck gtv (i wish gtv would give ya exp :P) and most were bot characters x.x so i tried mapling hehe and i mapled 75% of gtv lol was fun and was pink for a while hehehe

but the addition of this system would mean that you could only go chao for killing a blue character correct? so that would eliminate chaomaking right? and if both answers are yes....then by all means add this

actually after thinking it over, i really dont like the magic update. Duel pink hell ya but the magic update no. Cause really its so not fair to mages. Now 1v1 a mage cant kill you ppl will just venz. after update it will be even worse. The only real eason this would be good is so that 5+ destroy mages dont come out of invis and destroy you. Other than that, this update is REALLY not needed. Its no different than 5 de's standing next to sombody in invis and poping out and all hitting them (de's who can do 100+ a hit easily) thats even worse than mages and the only real difference there is that the de just has to walk beside the target. Not much of a task if you ask me. Not to mention they can final burn you in the same fashion which would probably be changed anyways.

On top of the major and unnecessary nerf to mages, it will bring the whole stacking problem. That is really horrible. having to recast holy or moving accel or use braves and hastes that sucks big time. So not worth the bad things the update already brings for mages.

I think the only people who like this update are melee characters who would do anything to nerf a class other than their own.

This update is a very bad idea. It would be much better to bring duel pink first to live. Keep this update away. Mabye just on test. Than if its really great after like 6 months on test, bring it to live if its good.

They way theymake it sound is as if this wont be on test long befor it hits live. Bring duel pink first thats what majority of server wants. only like 10% of server wants this magic update. Its no good.

damn fracas you suck. JK but really why the hold up on duel pink. Everyone loves it, your planning to put it in, ep 6 is at least 6 months away..... IF your going to do that than DEFINATELY wait for this magic update to come with episode 6 too. That would be so horrible to add it now. That would be adding something that nobody wants now and adding something everyone wants never. Ill be so mad T.T
