Would you like to change your characters name?

I really want this because I had the name I really wanted in beta and I could not remember the password / email address I had used originally (I changed ISP's a few times) I own the name on the LOA server. Would be sweet to change it to that. It is very similar to my name on DEP just minus the numbers in it =]

I like my name as it is so i am glad =)

I love my name thats why I never switched to LOA when it came out.

Oh my, I can't imagine having a diff name for any of my chars.
But then, I have not played since beta and do understand how others would feel.
But I would not know who ppl were and they'd have to tell ppl all the time ..."I used to be so-and-so".... confusing......they would need titles like, AKAwhateveritwas....lol!

I wouldnt mind changing my name. Had i known that Cainna and Ciennamage where players i would have never kept the name. So yes pls allow us to change our names if we want .

My mage has been around for over 5 yrs, almost 6, so I would never imagine having a different name for my mage.

I would vote to start deleting names that have been in active for say 3 or more years maybe push it back to 4 years. Also does anyone know when someone gets perma banned do they lose the characters or are the characters still there just not able to be played? Fracas that answer would probably have to come from you.

Also to Fracas when you perma ban bots why don't you kill them and toss all the equipment all over Aden.

Yea more of the wishful thinking on my part. Strolling around Fire valley when all of a sudden I see Fire egg gives you +9 Kaiser Claw and 352 million adena, would be pretty nice ^^

Changing names could be fun... not sure I would but it would be fun..
when papa dies its gonna be hard to have everyone callin my elf cj..that was his nickname for me..so I might change it because of that...if you let me...

Would be nice to have item drops such as that BUT I would rather see them come as a possible drop from our xmas stockings (that we have not seen in a while! =] )

more than a name change i would like to be able to redo my stats, without having to level a new character, and i dont stats as in from char creation, just the 51+ stats

Name change is good is we can do it. Stat change would be best because when I started playing Lineage 5 years ago I had no clue, no guides, no friends I didn't know better what to do but to just play stats based on common knowledge which of coz isn't always the best thing to do.

Even if it's a 1 or 2 points switch it'll matter greatly and it would certainly be most appreciated. I know it's irrelevant to the polling topic but I'm sure I echo the thoughts of many.

In reality if you start out as a con elf and eventually get the same dex points when you are able to add points and it becomes the same as a dex elf. Whilst a dex elf would have HP compromised even at high level what gives? Dex is a natural way to go for those who didn't know better and I was one of them.

I tend to agree with the folks who say name changes would make it way too easy to cheat in this game. We have enough people who are willing to do it even with the shame that comes along with it ... imagine how bad it could be if nobody could know.

Name change, no way! I agree completely with all who think it makes it too easy to cheat and not be known. When a high level player "retires" and resurfaces several months later with a different personality, we all know something fishy is going on. I don't want that player to come back with a new name....

On the idea of stat changes, I also am a dex elf with regrets but no time to remake. Stat changes are therefore obviously an intriguing idea to me. Of course we wouldn't want people to make numerous repeated changes and the like so some harsh and hard limit would be needed. Maybe that is something worthy of a separate thread, where we could really focus on what, if anything, might work.

A stat change is to much, and completely defeats the purpose of making your starting stats a certain way.

If I could just change my stats to what I wanted them, I would make every mage INT mage, level it up to real high, then change its stats to Con/wis and get the free mp/hp that comes along with that... And it would have been WAYYYY easier than starting con/wis. Int mages level faster, but they sacrifice hp/mp.

Just like dex elves level faster, but they sacrifice HP. Changing stats defeats the purpose. I would always just choose the stats that level fastest, and then change them to the good stats when I get there. Everyone would do this.

Many people messed up their stats, but it doesnt really take that long to fix it. Start a new char with the correct stats, use your gear you already have, and you will be back to where you are in no time. Its not hard to level these days, if you are under level 50 and want to change your stats, then just remake. If you are over 50, its your choice. Dont have to delete, but could always start a new one with the stats you want and make it a pet project.

i hate the name change idea, u make that name when u create the char. i could understand gender change tho i know a few ppl that made female chars that wish they had made male and vice versa i could live with that. but i think stats and name changing are too much

Nah, things would seriously get confusing if they allowed name changes. People stealing identities and whatnot... Just gotta but a little time into figuring a good one out..
