The Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) is around the corner and I'm curious if any of y'all are planning to attend. So, anybody going?
I ask because today our new head-of-marketing guy (Greg) came by and was very eager to find a way to represent Lineage I at the convention. Unfortunately I wasn't able to come up with much, but we did find a box of Episode XI: Oren Installation CDs! Yeah!
The Oren Episode happens to be special to me, being that it was the first Episode I worked on as a Lineage team member here in Austin -- I was the QA Lead. Who remembers the persistent snowman bug? Anybody? Anybody?!
Anyway, yeah, an old installation CD isn't really the greatest thing ever. It is, however, a momento! Yeah! A momento! So if any of y'all are going to be there and would like to get your hands on one of these hot items, send me a PM with your name and I'll pass it on to Greg, the marketing guy.
On a related note, I must admit that Greg's enthusiasm about Lineage is both exciting and inspiring. I look forward to seeing what we can pull off in the future.
I'm sad you guys stopped
I'm sad you guys stopped making the installation CDs every episode, they would have been nice collectors items.
I wish they would make a new
I wish they would make a new installation CD/DVD(more than likely at this point) which covers the most recent content. Being a dialup user, it would suck to have to redownload lineage x.x. Bring on the DVD's! =]
I keep the compressed
I keep the compressed download from the site on my comp so if it comes to needing to reinstall, I already have the download done, just have to patch it.

There for a while they were slacking on pushing out the most current executable with a majority of the more recent patches compiled into it. This still made for a very lengthy patch process. Did I ever mention how much I HATE dial-up!!

On the subject of collectibles, how about suggesting NC make a new Lineage t-shirt available? I have the freeby distributed one from a couple of years back, still wear it, and would be willing to BUY a new one if a different color and/or design was made available! Tell 'em all its great FREE advertising! (Seriously, I work on a university campus, and have had several people ask me what Lineage was, and in reply I enthusiastically try to sell them on the game).
