Bot problem expands (Ken)...

The problem is that NCI isnt really committed to getting rid of the bots.

pure and simple. if they were then they would have a special group of monitors/GM's that just scour the complaint areas and eliminate the botters. they fall back on the "need proof" BS. it doesnt take much to see a bot is a bot. a gm needs to be assigned to lineage 24/7 (lineage cops) whos mission is just bot hunting. you can get a schedule for diff gm's to be on this problem. the GM can contact players whom are the informers and find out where all the problems are.

IF they really cared they would end the problem every day, every day and every day. you dont take a desieased patient give him/her 1 pill and check back 1 month later. they are "Monitored" daily for health and changes in their condition.

but people are lazy and cheap.

Well Lineage I really isn't their flagship anymore. They don't absolutely NEED to be entirely dedicated to it. It's older and the fan base isn't the same as it was. They're not gonna put that much effort into it, simple business practices. Kinda like where you make your goods...it's cheaper to make them in China and if people will still buy them, why not?

So, in reality, they win. We will continue grumble about the bots but we will continue playing...

Lineage 2 makes more money for NC than Lineage 1 does. (not much more)

Don't be fooled by subscriber numbers, that can be a very flawed math since there is no real standard of what counts as a valid subscription. They can count banned, trial or even inactive accounts in thier totals.

Look Fracas... More and more bot threads. Every single day. More and more complaints.

I guess they are more fun to read than all the other complaints about the game...

At least the bots dont complain!

you would think with a server pop of 300 max it wouldnt be too tough to spot the bots and ban them and thier masters

Its not tough. i would volunteer for bot hunting duty.

this duty includes a ban on my main acct for the period of three months. in that period u attain an acct that is for hunting bots from nci. monitor or gm like acct. that acct is good for 3 months. then u need to leave bot hunting duty. like a tour of duty with the military, but shorter. your bot acct would then pass on to the next person in line for bot hunting.

this way people dont get to much ego, they do their duty then return to the game. if they want to hunt bots more then re-enlist. ect ect

If your not going to do it NCI, then let us who pay for the gaqme do it, as should be our right!!

Bots seem to have gotten worse then ever in most of my Fav hunting grounds.

Every game has bots, NC should follow Ragnarok they might have a bot problem too but atleast you can see they are doing something.

that is thier ban list for one day.

I also think that they should not only ban the accts but also ban the IP addresses associated with the botters. that way they dont come back so easily.

take away their way to access lineage.

What would really stop them is not allow game cards to be used, but that would screw legit players too.

the worst sometimes i cant tell if bot or not they have improved to higher end, i lvl in toi mostly and i see alot of new faces, some faces dont have pledges, so u think its a bot lvlin picking up drops, but sometimes they act like normal people make conversation with you....

i just dont know anymore

if NC really wants to stay alive they have to do something about bots.
they cant get rid of them because of income $
but they can log them everytime or few times when they see they interfer with gameplay for others.
