Id like to see a Poly/drop or a poly/ex but with us just having 2x exp. i dont think they would do another one that quick.. but i always like polys im not too hard to please. o.o no comments there plz.. we just had a boss event so doubt they would do another one of those.. but come on open me up some polys. bet i could lvl!!! ha ha ha actually im not that far away now. currently at 72.----% woot look out 50 o.o

here is a suggestion cross between the varmint thing u did on test a while back but with treasure chests in other words spawn bootys but have it where when u hit certain ones instead of getting a drop u get a large amount of xp with the varmints it was about 1 full lvl i thought that was the coolest idea ever just not thought all the way through if u do it with booty there is no way to res and re kill

I like the karma event idea.
I also like the quest events (like for the earrings). A quest event that required a team and granted experience or karma might be fun.

Nothing out of the ordinary... Nothing you have to do... Nothing special... Hunt like normal... But at all times there was one monster, somewhere, anywhere (could be absolutely any monster from a slime on SI, to Grim Reaper) that would give the person that killed it like a full 20% exp no matter what level they were... When that one died, another spawned somewhere anywhere to replace it.

The problem with that is if
The problem with that is if the spawn is low there would be a lot of people who would never get one and if the spawn was high the people who play a lot could run through a LOT of levels.
It would be very difficult to find the perfect balance.
That's why my preference is a fun and somewhat challenging quest (something like The Trial of Doom but more involved) that gives a one time experience reward.
There is no spawn rate...
There is no spawn rate... There is only ONE monster in ALL of aden that gives this... Once that ONE monster ends, another spawns to replace it (Not in the same area, although possible but not probable. As it could be ANYWHERE in Aden the next time it respawns.)
Since it could be ANY monster, I really dont see that anyone would get more than one, MOST people wouldnt even find one, and the ones that do will love it.
I am not saying that there are tons of them out there... I am saying that there is ONE monster out there that gives that.
Its kinda like the sneaky fox event. MOST people were not lucky enough to find one. However, some people were in casual hunting. And those that did nothing but search for them, MAY have found more than one. But unlike the sneaky fox, you could see what you were looking for when you teleported around. With this, you would not be able to really go looking for anything, just hunt normally and hope that one of the monsters you're about to kill is this special one. (You cant tell till you kill it.)
(Although as I type this I think that instead of ONE, there should be 2-3. Because if it ends up spawning as, lets say, one of the Water Spirits on 99f, itll never get killed and itll basically be like there was never an event anyways. But then again Fracas could delete it and respawn it as a diff monster somewhere else.)

The sneaky fox event was what I had in mind, too, when I saw this.
That was what prompted my concern. There was a guy in my pledge that got three of them ... two of which had really high end items.
I like the idea in concept; but I have reservations about any event that has such a GREAT reward for so FEW people.

Here's how a Karma event
Here's how a Karma event should work:
We can't have every mop give Karma because there are some people purposely not getting karma because they want to get the "other" karma. To force them to take karma simply by hunting would be to set them back months.
So, here is what I would do ...
Have weakened versions of the TOS mops spawn randomly throughout aden and give them a bump in the amount of karma they give. Also have them drop fragments.
Then have non-aggressive versions of the bosses from all three floors of TOS spawn randomly throughout Aden. Have them be the same strength just non-aggressive. Don't go crazy. I'm thinking one of each per hour for a weekend. Have those give karma and drop the same items they already drop.

In episode 6, when you need the other type of karma (opposite of the type we are getting now, unless you actively hunt SoE Demons,) there is a feature to automatically reset what ever karma you are at back to 0. So even if they were forced to get Karma, it wouldnt hurt them in the least, nor set them back at all. Unless of course, they are at this point already actively hunting the Demon side Karma which wont do anything for them until Epi6.

"Halloween Event! Yes, I am spending some time on the Halloween Event as well. Right now my plans for the event are very...unorthodox. It will not be a drop event, it will not be a poly event, in fact it won't be much like any event we've done before. If it goes according to plan it will not be the kind of event that only benefits those who spend the most time at their computer through the duration of it. I feel we've had enough of those for awhile. So, for what it's worth, here's my official post advising y'all to not worry about burning PTO at work or pretending to be too sick for school. There will be some "trick" over the weekend prior to Halloween week, and then a "treat" which you can enjoy leisurely at your own pace throughout the course of Halloween week."

Uh, maybe I'm the only one but I liked the Pumpkin-Event with the Pumpkin-Mask you see the invisible Pumpkin-Monsters - some of them were easy and some were tough and you had a good chance to get a nice item :)
The boss event like 2004 was also great.
However, something new would be cool!

i kinda liked the fox event that we had not to long ago with the foxes that dropped the zels and dias, i thought that was fun.. it was quiet a suprise when someone globaled that a fox gave him a nzel... but i liked the the last years halloween event, i wouldnt mind a random % thing, but i think 20% its too much maybe more like 2-5% with reasonable spawn. maybe 10% at the most. i dunno im easy to plz i am happy with the 55+ polys.. im close to lvl and the faster shooting morphs are wonderful help..

you kill one type of mop in SOE or TOS to get each side. the more you get of the side the better stuff you get and then they will even help you kill mops.

I still say with the boss event and the double exp events we just had that we wont see anything like that for a while. There was a event with Pumpkin seeds before i started playing.. i heard good and bad things about that.. Might be fun for some new players to try that. im not sure how that worked or anything like that. something about collecting pumpkin seeds from mops. can someone help me here..?? maybe someone that did that event?

The pumpkin event went like this if my memory is still working right.
you bought a pumpkin mask and some pumpkin candy
you walked around aden till you saw a shadow on the ground then you put on your pumpkin mask and threw down a pumpkin candy
the jack o latern came over to you, you killed it you got pumpkin seeds and turned them in for a bronze silver or gold pumpkin.
open the pumpkin and enjoy or not.
It was a okay event, but its pretty much the same ol drop event
One I hope they never repeat is the test drop event that only went off at certain times of the day.
Dream Island Event would
Dream Island Event would rock, with an increased chance to get an elixir. With tons of monsters from all over Aden. No exp loss on death but no exp gain either.
With all the events we have
With all the events we have had, it seems to me that a low-key event would be good. I am sure I don't appreciate what might be the best way to deal with things like high bzel prices, but more of them dropping would not necessarilly do much. In the BOSS event, they dropped like wisdom pots :P and the price now, not that much later, is higher than ever.
So for my preference, I would like to have NC give us something fun but not too disruptive, and within that preference, anything would be great :)

Suggestions: #1 - Monsters
Suggestions:
#1 - Monsters that drop ToI scrolls would be a fun "part" of an event. Since the ToI bosses are "camped" so much, it's almost impossible to get to any of them, kill them & get a charm. If a charm is for sale in GTV, the price is so high most "normal" players can not afford it. And the scrolls have gone sky high. I am sick of people running past me for the "Boss" and dragging a ton of monsters into the area I am "hunting" on my way up!
#2 - The karma "part" thing: so many people in ToS trying to get karma it's insane..... make like, Toi monsters, DVC monsters, IT monsters.... any monster in caves, dungeons or towers give you karma. Doesn't even have to be full karma like, kill 4 or 6 Meds in ToI for 1 point....
#3 - 2x exp is always nice, drops are always nice but I think if this were "part" of the event, it should be only certain/random monsters so people didn't "camp" for the drops.
#4 - A no loss of experience when you die "part" of event! So many people have lag/dc/dial-up issues that would be such a nice thing ;)
#5 - Group hunts! You get extra experience if you are in a party like the more in the party, the more experience you get! The pledge thing is nice (and preferable) but there are many players who are soloists, pledgeless, level so high or low no one hunts with them etc.... To me, the best part of Lineage is a nice party hunt :)
Just some suggestions.... don't anyone freak out at me and say things like, "can't do this or that!" I know absolutely nothing about what it would take to program any of the above suggestions. That's why we have people behind the scenes doing it!

I dont think that a halloween event should b ruined with being an exp event. dont get me wrong, i love exp!! but its halloween, usually halloween is THE best event thoughout the year.
Karma sounds awesome too, sapwning the mops that give u karma all over the world, and make them drop some of those fragments x.x
anything that they decide is good, but plz fracas.. good spawn again (that last island event was great spawn, not very many ppl mop theiving)
