The cost to make it is more, but the results of what you make are also much more if you do it this way...
nzel to +5, like you are doing. But if your goal is a +7, and not a +6, then your best bet is to bzel the +5's, not nzel them. The chances of Nzel from +5 to +6 to +7 are something like 1:42
The chances of bzel to +7 from +5 are more like 1:12 (not exact number, but close). And there is still the chance that it could go +6.
Also, the one thing I have learned about blowing +6 armors... is this...
Dont blow them. If you end up with a +6... Sell it for the outrageous amount they are going for right now.. And then use that money to try again. You still lose money, but you lose less than popping the +6's. Ive blown well over 20 +6 armors, and only had 2 go +7. While I have made over 20 +7's bzeling +5's. (Talking about armors safe to +4.)
The initial cost is more... But the end results are more to.
I am surprised you got two +6's out of the 8 +5's. I blew 15 +5 iboots the other day, and only one went.
And before that, I blew 25 +5cmomr, and made 5 +7s.
To win some, you gotta lose some.
Good luck, and whis me in game if you want further clarification on this process. Making +7 armors is fairly easy if done right. And you could end up with more than one +7, that you can sell to recoup your investment money.

On average 1/4 of your cloaks should have gone +5. That means somewhere between five and six. You got 8. That's better than 1/3.
Of the +5s, 1/5 should have gone +6. That would give you between one and two so you got the top end of your odds there.
But, yeah. I'm with Sk8 on the bzels once you get to +5.

i made 1 +7 bcomr in my life. i nzeled to +5 and when it went 5 with nzels i said to myself bzel it it will go 6 or 7 and i thought if it blows i lost 250k (price bzels were then) but it went 7 i was so excited i had borrowed the bzel so, i traded the cloak to mrhood for a few things that i needed, i use it on occasion v.v
