Today has seen one of the greatest jokes ever played in Lineage. Comparable, if not greater than the great April Fools Day event of '01? Absolutely!
Two weeks ago, Fracas announced phase I of the Halloween Event on the Testing server. The response was underwhelming at best. The insults and accusations began piling up and, soon enough, he had enough. To get back at us for ruining his event, he devised phase II which he never intended to publish. When asked about it, Fracas commented "That'll teach those ingrates! My event would have been beautiful and they crushed it."
So I guess that will teach us to criticize his events from now on. For those of you still at work and unable to log in yet, here is a screenshot of what we're being greeted with:

The Halloween event was
The Halloween event was originally in 2 parts. A "trick" half and a "treat" half. The "trick" part was a weekend of chaos which wasn't well received. As a result it was scrapped before it got to live. The "treat" part however went live today and it will run until next Wednesday, November 7th. While not very interactive or intensive, it has a significant reward.
1. Log in
2. Find a Pumpkin Treater, obtain your pumpkin.
3. Turn around and talk to the Pumpkin Trader.
4. You're done.
This thread was a well done prank to make people think the event was actually two tricks. Props to Morticae for the excellent photoshop work on the letter. :)
