We need stats rings

We now have rings that does almost everything but give stat points or HP or MP.

I've been thinking about this for a while and now decided to make a post requesting NC to look into this and also have other player's input.

Create a new NPC that sells these new rings. These rings can not be drop, trade, or put in storage.

The prices of these rings should reflect the lvl of the character making the purchase. My idea of prices for these should be 1mil adenas X the lvl of the character. So a lvl 70 char will have to dish out 70mil for one of these rings, while a lvl 10 char will only have to spend 10mil. It sounds unfair, but a lvl 70 char should have no problem making 70mil, while a lvl 10 char has absolutely no way of making 10mil.

These rings can not be drop, trade or sold, so people cant make a newbe char to purchase and give to their main char.

The names of these rings should be pretty straightforward...

+30HP

Ring of Mana
AC 1
+20MP

Ring of Strength
AC 1
+1 STR

Ring of Dexterity
AC 1
+1 DEX

Ring of Constitution
AC 1
+1 CON

Ring of Wisdom
AC 1
+1 WIS

Ring of Charisma
AC 1
+1 CHA

Ring of Intelegence
AC 1
+1 INT
-25 HP

Yes Ring of INT has a -25 HP since we all know INT is the most powerful stat in the game. +1 to INT gives the char a lot more benifit than any other stats. Besides, the player can sub in a ring of Health (+30 HP) to counter that, but still gain 1 INT.

So there you go. Like it? Hate it? Atleast give your reasons. Also make changes or anything you like.

I'm getting kind of tired of this whole notion that anything with int on should have a penalty because it is "the most beneficial stat in the game" when put on a mage.

Int is still a huge bonus when it comes to turning undead, but after about 23 you start to get seriously diminishing return on that investment on 51+ because your turn rate is already amazing at 23 int. You can start to do other things beyond that point, like turning priests in ToS, but at best that just puts a mages karma gaining potential on par with the other classes.

In my sometimes humble opinion, the tremendous benefit you get from adding int is largely offset by the limitations of mana and, in PvP, the fact that you will often have to cast a spell several times at no effect before it works.

I guess what it comes down to me for is that the game and the effects of added stats were designed this way for a reason.

and i belive in episode 6 or are rings coming out that have ER+HP

Interesting idea, but ppl would just buy the items with low lvl characters for cheap and level them up. The reason i say this is the possibility of more stat points would prolly change the way some ppl design their chars stats to start with. For instance, it would take away the drawbacks of making a 18con/18wis mage, usually a mage must sacrifice SP for good HP/MP and MR because their int would only be 16, but with these rings all mages would be 18con/18wis/18int starting at lvl 1. I dunno, just seems a bit overpowered to me, especially with the elixir event and stat t-shirts we just got.

The thing I dont like about

The thing I dont like about these rings is the huge benefit they give to lower level characters (in later levels) that the higher level characters dont see.

They make a lower level character level easier and faster and cheaper to catch up to the established characters that did it without them, and then when they reach the level of those established players, they will be stronger for having them.

Sure, its hard for a level 10 to make 10mil, but it is not hard for a level 70 to make 10mil, give it to a level 10, and have an uber level 10 character that before long will be an uber level 55+++ character.

I think the bonuses of your

I think the bonuses of your suggested rings might be abit to extreme for the requirements compared with the ep6/U items that are coming out that are upgradeable. I think it might help to reduce the ep6/U rings requirements instead so that people can get them along with the varlok/yahee earrings (come on, 7months of 24hrs/day played to get lvl 7 earrings?, who apart from bots on the US servers can do that?)

Personally changes to items requirements should be modified to make things alot more easily acquired for US players that already exist in game (especially after ep6) that are perfect alternatives to your suggested rings.
The earrings and rings from ep6 are nice, why not just let us get them without insane amounts of wasting time (Since the level requirements for getting the earrings/rings already exist not to mention the difficulty of the zones).

I like the idea that they

I like the idea that they are available to all and not just to the selected few honest rich people and the quite many botters, but think they are way overpowered, and I'm not just talking about the int ones. All of them need penalties, and the int ones need more than just a measly 25hp.

I'll call bs on that one, if the penalties are enough it offsets the other things. Just imagine a ring that was +5 to all stats, but -1500 hp and -1000 mp. Don't think many would have it on except for regenerating perhaps.

Believe me, my WIS DE would be happy about 2 WIS Rings, regardless what penalty on it. It would increase my bring stone rate greatly!

A mage who hunts 51f+ with TU-scrolls will love 2 INT-Rings, regardless of the penalty - as long as he can walk around and use the TU scrolls....

Same for CHA, regardless of the penalty, you only need the +CHA when summoning or taking out pets to get the benefit, after that you can take them off...Penalty? Who cares?

I don't see how STR, DEX or CON Rings would give you similar advantages.

Anways I agree to the people that said these rings are way overpowered. I just listed them randomly so to get other people's suggestions. I guess they all need some penalties.
Also to the few that says a lvl 70 char has plenty of money so they will make a newbe char and buy those rings and lvl up again. Are u seriously gonna stop playing a lvl 70 char just so you can make another lvl 70 char with 2 extra stat points? Thats a lot of work...unless you bot.

No, but if you already have a level 70, lets say, knight... Then this would be the perfect opportunity for a rich level 70 to decide they want a mage.

Tons of people have multi 50+, even 55+, characters.

as already now 18con mage lv70 can die 1hit to Em/Destroy.. so yea more power to HP Gambled chars qq incl Elves zzzz

i think all rings should be wo penalty if +1 Stats, but make +2-3 Stat Amulet for STR/DEX/WIS/CON with a negative stat.. like +3 STR -2dex -1con or +3 STR -3DEX or CON... Karma items nice sure.. but we need items no based on karma too zxz
