All Lineage servers will be going offline at 1PM CST (7PM GMT) Wednesday, November 21, for maintenance. Several changes will be made, and will be applied to the PTS at 2PM CST (8PM GMT) Tuesday, November 20.

Here are the patch notes:
Balance adjustments made to tameable pet stats, attacks, and spells.
These changes reflect the pet updates implemented by NCK between the publish of Episodes 5 and 6. They include an overall boost to pet melee attacks, an overall boost to high pets over their un-evolved counter-parts, and a decrease to the effectiveness of Rabbit and High Rabbit magical attacks.
Enabled the spawning of Jindo Dog and Tiger NPCs
The taming food is Floating Eye meat.
Both of these creatures appear very difficult to tame, even moreso than the raccoon. I look forward to player feedback about the tameability of these guys.
The Tiger has been seen roaming around the second half of Pirate Island, sometimes chasing the Jindo Dog. The Jindo Dog has also been seen on Talking Island and mainland Aden.

The announcement reads to me that the update was just posted to TEST. DEP, KEN and LOA only had maintenance resets.

They published this to test on the 20th, and from what i read it went live the 21st. That's what i gathered from this post from lin.com forums.

I'm just curious because i spent some time yesterday looking around for these new pets but couldn't find any, nor have i talked to anyone on dep who has. Also when servers came back up i didnt see any new files or anything, like u normally do after a publish, when lin started up

So nobody has seen these pets?? Is it possible the update was fudged or are they really this rare? Any official word that they are spawning as intended would be nice =p
Well I was on the first boat
Well I was on the first boat to PI right after the reset with 2 60+ chars from known bp's with me. We ran like maniacs. Random teleported searched everywhere. I searched for 2 hours at least after reset on PI then switched to another char that I had on TI and nothing. I asked players I met in the field as well as over global and no one has even seen them yet to date. You would figure that the best time that you woud have seen one would have been after reset like other NPC's but nothing. Guess we can wait till after the weekly NPC reset on Thurs-Fri and maybe then or they just meant test and the post about the announcement is wrong. (Has happened before)
I also did not see any downloads after reset like there normally is when new content is added/removed/or changed.

Yeah i agree with everything
Yeah i agree with everything u said except i think at the least some of the update went live because ppl have noticed a difference in their pet Rabbits. But yeah the first weird part was when i logged on after reset and no new files, so that made me suspicious, then after spending a few hours on PI and a little while on TI without any sign of these new pets i became more suspicious, then the fact that i haven't heard from a single person who has seen them makes me very very suspicious. You would think in almost a weeks time someone would have seen at least one of these new pets O.o and if not and they are spawning as intended then i think these spawn rates are a bit low, i know they are supposed to be rare but this seems a little extreme IMO.

There were no new files because you already have the sprites/files for these animals in your game folder since the start of Epi5. They just didnt turn the spawn on till now.

They were actually Episode 5 stuff, that just like here, got implemented later than Epi5 launch.

I believe that ability comes in Epi6 in the form of an item that is used to retrieve your pets no matter where your location may be... FI? No problem... TOI 100f? No problem....
Anyone feel free to correct me if that is wrong. =) I believe the item was a new form of pet whistle or something.

Well then I may finally start using pets again. Don't get me wrong, elf summons aren't terrible...they are just so slow.
And the fire one sucks. Slow + (almost) melee only = suckage. I swear 1/2 the time it never even got a chance to attack a single time when I would use it.
