Holiday Event...What would you like to see...

I wonder what the Christmas event will be this year. I hope we have Christmas stockings again, but with a different drop table! =]

Did you see what I said about the stockings! Stocking event with a revised drop table!!! Stocking event would be best for the Holidays, no need to try and spend 168 hours (336 hours if it runs 2 weeks) online to take full advantage of the event.

It is Christmas, there should not be any type of drop event going on during this time.Period. I would even be opposed to a 2x drop event during this time frame. If anything, gives us a ring that makes us morph into Orc Santa (a ring that we keep and can trade), put the stockings in (with the modified drop table), and the Santa items and let it go for a week or two since New Years is right after.

That being said, I have always enjoyed the holiday belt. I can never carry enough and that particular item will always be a welcome change (and if it comes with its two buddies I'm down with it).

we probably get stockings and santa items, im guessng
because we had bunch of events in august and septemeber (drops and xp) so i doubt they trow same thing in again.

I would like a nice simple 2.5X drop event. We have not had one of those since Ken and Dep got the LoA ruleset.

How about Christmas Imps that drop uber weapons and make you chao if you kill them ;P

I liked the red nose reindeers. 2 x drop would be nice too. Anything that let me restock supplies and raises my cash balance - since I'm working on a new bow I'm always broke x.x

Give us a drop event or exp event...doesnt have to be a boss island event but that would be fun 2. Im sick and tired of being handed things as an event. Isnt the point of an event to get people to play? and wether or not u spend 16 hours at ur computer you STILL get something from a drop or exp event.

I guess I'm showing my Lineage age here, but how about one of those old fashioned 2x/2x events that we had years ago. 2x Exp and 2x drop chance (If I recall it was mainland only)...I would love even a simple 2x EXP event. :)

Honestly I wouldn’t mind seeing a 55+ morph event… maybe throwing in those cool ep 6 morphs *nudge*

I was going to comment on how a 2x exp and 2x drop event would benefit bots the most, but nearly any event will do that.

I was thinking though, it’d be a neat idea to have some sort of “pumpkin seed” that every monster dropped. Maybe different ones per level ie, level 10 drop white seed, level 20 black… then be able to trade the seeds for stuff like adena.

10 white seeds = 100 con reds or something… nothing fancy but it’d sure give you some extra cash or whatever

i keep imagining that somewhere in an office of NCA.. there is a place dark where people know to keep lights off.. the dungeon people call it.. there is a creature here named Fracas who time to time scream and pull his hair out in desperation to get Lineage EP6 out. Each time his side kick chiwawa barks in hunger o.o;

Anyway, i say leave him be.. i think he knows best what we need. but if i had to leave a comment about an event.. i'd like to see something thats most easy to turn on and requires less time away from ep6 launch. :P

heres what i want..i want everyone else to have 2x exp/drop and also to add to that i want every character a person has to get a christmas present with sumthing decently good in there...not ghey pots or junk like that..i mean stuff ranging anywhere from dragon scales(note i said scales..more than one)..to rare set pieces like papi said..reason i would like the present addition because..A. it adds a few set pieces that are in the very difficult range to aquire(thinking of you papi) and B. i wont be able to play christmas event because IM STILL DEPLOYED *cough* and i would like some christmas cheer when i get back in january QQ *tears*

I think an event with 2x exp would be nice since i am desperately trying to lv but dying keeps getting in the way. The stockings would be nice also countaining some permenant items to remember by. -Publicenemy-

I've missed the past three Christmas events and all of the big drop events (outside the Heine event years ago). I would like getting something nice, much like everyone else :).

i dont want nc to inform us of the event..i think they should just put it live without any thing prior said about it..well maybe like a event date but no info on it..so that people dont have time to complain and/or change nc's mind on the content of the event...also.. i dunno if anyone remembers this event but a little while back..not too long ago they had a npc that teled you to any floor in toi for cheap..i think they should add that as well but add more places to tele to (SOE, ToS 2-*f, FI, and so on and so forth... i think players would like that..maybe?

umm for the holiday the santa items would be nice along with poly event and for the stocking well a different droping table so we can have some items usefull also would be sweet to have fun xmas holidays......and surprise us with something new also along with that :) Go NC Go!!!

Along my preaching in the official boards related to the Halloween event, I would vote something like this for the Christmas:

1. Stockings with decent prices in them <- main gain from the event
2. Then Santa items and/or polymorphs to bring something extra for the people who are able and wants to spend more time of the holidays in Lineage.

Also if my previous suggestion for loyal customer reward system would be in use, loyalty tokens could be used instead of, or in Christmas stockings when players could choose their reward from the loyalty list or save the tokens for something bigger. But maybe someday...

This is along my post in official boards that suggests that more aspects of Lineage, like events (or parts of them) could be taken more into direction where main gains are not achieved by using all of the possible (and more) time to play the game. I said that example holiday events could be made so, that main gains of them can be achieved simply without requiring tons of time spent in game, but there could be some additional minor rewards for the players who wants to spent more time in the game.

I am not saying all of the events should be like this, but most could be. Current event planning, where main goals are achieved by significant time commitment to the game, easily creates the feeling when you have to play 24/7 not to miss huge for your in-game character, even there would be real life responsibilities that are needed to be taken care of. This in my opinnion is something the game should not be causing, especially during common holidays where family and friends are important for many. Thus I'd like to see events, and NCA servers in general, taken more into direction where everything does not require being online 24/7: casual gaming could be allowed better also in Lineage.

But this is my vote. I understand if some of the community does not like the suggestion when casual gaming has not been taken into account in Lineage for so long.

Stocking is cool, make it with a small small chance of something big in it.
The ac and things from last event, good stuffs.

But I would love to see a random Semi Boss mop, that may or may not vary in level, that can spawn any were except caves. This includes FI(Not PI or DI), it be cool if he looked like the Grinch o.o . Good luck in game.

You know what would be kind of neat... a wand that functioned like a pine except it randomly spawned bosses instead of normal monsters... heh

'no offense', just my 2 cents on subject of "Event Wand."
The wand idea is neat, but the price of 1m for each one, is gona put a large damper on alot of us that dont or cant afford to pay 1m for a wand of that type.
Unless all that is gona kill the boss , will chip in and help pay for the wand at the time of purchase, then it might work.
Otherwise, if it was put in the game, and I was faced with the fact of 1m for a boss verses other items of necessity, then i would just ignor the wand and do normal hunt activities during the event, or just not play during that week or however the wand event was active.

Now, as to what some of us would like to see for this xmas event: 2x exp/2x drop event is good, (if there was another 2x exp event, I might get LC to 50 this time around.)
I seem to recall the fox-event that had drops of nzels/bzels & ndai/bdais, was a great event as well.
I wouldn't think either of these events would cause that much problem to empliment into the game, prior to the release of EP 6. (But im not a programmer either, so IT IS up to NC, what they will &/or can do at that point.)
If they were gona do a repeat of the Heine area event of 2003 ( I believe it was in Nov. 2003,) then that may cause some delays in the further production of Ep 6, (as in an overload of players in Heine 4 to contend with along with all the complaints that, went along with that event, and now with bots on the server, it would be worse as to server overload down there, lol. ) -.-
ah well, not all events can be perfect...
I'm sure "FRACAS" can handle it! :)

Boss wands? It would be hell trying to use the Giran storage dwarf with someone gating in bosses...and you all know it would happen. LOL!

Fracas, bring back the Christmas trees for bp houses! Two years ago that was pretty cool, so last year just before Christmas I bought a house, and guess what...no Christmas trees last year. Bitterly disappointed that Santa could not find my house due to no tree/lights...I guess that explains the coal in my stocking.

i like MuddyWater's idea id rather have dk than black, silver, etc. because those we get on a seemingly reagular basis i think it would be a good incentive to lower lvl players to hit 52 if they really knew the fun dk can bring! and stockings are good idea but nc needs to realize that you wont make money off of 20 reds in your stocking lol put some love in the gift! and double xp would be a killer my goodness ill play for a hella long time!
