I would like to build off what has been posted on the main boards and this is kinda/sorta Sk8's idea as well.
Have random world bosses spawn on DI and announce to the world it is there once it spawns. Have it drop DI-type drops as well as some of the boss specific drops (very rarely). To make it fair to all that hunt on DI and do not want to fight the boss, make it passive until attacked like all the bosses on DI. A final catch is that these bosses will vary in strength just like all the DI bosses, thus making some cake walks and others will take a small army to defeat.
Post your thoughts :). Post on the idea not the fact that Sk8 proposed it a while back ;).

Honestly, I like the idea simply because there are quite a few bosses that are very elusive...or all but entirely unattainable for most people. That being said, I'd like to see them all be very durable. Not 1 or 2-shot damage (well maybe 2-shot), but have massive amounts of health regen so that they will always require a very large group of players to bring down. This gives more or less the entire server a chance to come in and take a few shots (be it screenshots or otherwise).
However, I'm not sure what I think about them dropping their best items. I don't want to see the drama that arises from a DI Death Knight that drops his sword...to a mage...who is also a known botter/hacker/cheater/etc (we all know atleast one no?). There are certain items that should be earned the hardway or not at all. That more than 1 or 2 DK swords dropped from the last drop event was a huge mistake in my humble opinion (to say nothing for the rest of the items).

That is why I said Very Rarely next to that. If this is done correctly, the same boss should not appear more than 2-3 times a month. Even if the drop is very rare, a person would likely have to hope to catch the same boss for about 2-5 years before getting that very rare drop. If that still does not fly, just make them drop DI drops, but about twice what the normal DI bosses drop.

I like the base idea - but the bosses shouldn't drop anything at all, at least with such a small number of ppl on Ken, we already got flooded by rare items. People keep blowing Mummy Crowns, Sayha's Bows and K-Weaps because its relative easy to get a new one.
But world bosses on DI would be nice so evryone can test out tactics on them.

That's why I said I was conflicted about them having their rare drops. B-zels and the like yeah that wouldn't be bad, but the big stuff I just don't think they have a place on a no-risk boss fight...regardless of how rarely a given boss may appear.

Okay, I agree, there should not be boss specific drops, but there should still be some drops. How does n/b/c enchant scrolls, elemental rings, adena, and the very rare elixir?
DI has some small map area's
DI has some small map area's for larger world boss. Keep that in mind. Hard to get around some of those maps, with other mop spawns and all the trees.

Only one world boss spawn at a time would not make for a huge issue. If there were multiple world boss spawns at a time, I could understand.

World Boss, would be dragons too? If so I recall an event years ago on DI, it was hard to get it because of the lay out of the place. I wouldn't mind getting those on DI, lets see what happens.

Acutally, I'd want them to drop better BUT (and this is a big one) I want them to also be MUCH more durable than their normal counterparts. I'm talking 10x the regeneration of the normal versions meaning you can't solo, duo or even trio them. I want them to be a 10-20 person (minimum) battles for dominance. Being that DI is also a combat zone that also means that players and pledges also have a new "battleground", as it were, to fight over to earn the right to take it down (for larger servers).
