I tried some of my usual hunting areas with it. I must say, it works well and thanks to my decision to add to INT the loss of 10ac isn't really an issue - but still have to test it in areas where I hunt at my limits, like 61f+ and SOE.
BTW: Is there a way to force the bow to use magical arrows even if I have some regular arrows in my inventory?

AND... No.. The bow uses any arrows you have in your inventory first. It's a pain when you hunt DV.
Just like a regular bow you can change arrow types if you have different kind of arrows in your inventory by double clicking them.
And if you are going to hunt undead you still are better off carrying silver, mith arrows or better.
This bow works best on Lastavard 2nd floor and Forgotten Island where it's a long way to get more arrows.
Enjoy it, and wait till you get another before you try to go for an 8.

Yes, papi is right. Better safe then sorry.
As for the arrows - I just had a idea, but it will cost you 1 SGem each time.
Use a lesser Elemental zu carry the not used Arrows. You see, like a backpack wich follows you around.
That might work. :)
