I’m from Ken server right now. I used to hunting time between Dep & Ken servers, I would get into Ken because my brother was a royal with a rather well put together bp.
I was banned from my main account via Dep, due to going off in a fit of rage on global over bots, being able to go through walks and ppl and mops.
So I had to start over, I choose Ken to do so, do get rid of the stress of pvp and such.
I started from 0, and with some help with some very fine folks from my past bp on Ken, I got back on my feet and continue to try to play for fun this time, not level not items. Just to pass some time and maybe every so often get lucky with something.
As my hunting travels advance me place to place… Like OWL, DVC, SKT/CAVES etc, I find that bots that were around I would have to say over 1yr ago, are still around and doing very very well….
This I can’t understand.. If folks are using /accuse, and I know they are, there are certain bots that should have been long gone, and there not, there high level and uber to the max.
And they control the market very well.
There everywhere on Ken, underwater, lastabad area’s , and any cave you can mustard..
Same one’s that were there months ago. The excuse is there might be a language problem, and or some other things, but you know what when you can walk past walls and summoms, and just happen to be able to teleport to a mop, that’s just pure BS.
I will point out 1 bot on ken that should not be there and is, the name I believe is Singlemagic, been there when I was on Ken over 1yr ago, is still there, and is still on auto pilot… That is just wrong..
In general, I realize, there isn’t much we can do about bots, it’s up to NC to “research” the claim/offense, of the matter, but it seems to be slow to none.
I know I’m ranting on a mute point just about, but this is my point, there is a new trend going on, at least on Ken, I haven’t been able to have time to get on Dep/Loa to confirm things…
But it seems, makers/users of bots are making new bots, to closely match names of legit players… I have seen names to some good folks in other bp’s and my own bp names being used, with and added “S” or “X” and so on..
This is bad, really bad… Good folks are going to start getting headaches over this..
NCS you need to take some firm action, no more “we have to investigate this and that” , it’s way outta control, and there is only one thing that can be done, NC needs to put the peddle to the metal and that’s that..
I hope this reaches the ears of some higher up’s at NCS, I am going to organize a walk out some time soon, if people will support me, to show that we are all sick of the lack of better customer service that we deserve. We pay ca$h to play and try to have fun, and it’s up to the “GameMakers” to stick to there own terms.. I have someone in place if need be, to start/assume a class action to start, and no I’m not BS’ing, I will get a list and use NCS TOS as a ground rule, and SS”s , video and other things that I may have in house..
If anyone else is passionate about this as I am please get back to me here or in game, if things have to change the hard way then so be it.. And you want change band together and stop fighting with each other and let us fix this together, thanks for your time.

If you think KEN is bad, you really should check out LOA. Last night, me and 3 of my other pledge mates when bot hunting in DVC1 all the way to DVC6, I would say there are only about 1/10 players down there are actually players, the rest are bots. Why do I say this? First of all they all auto random tele once the very first swing that you throw at them. Secondly, we would run into them time and again, and everytime we swing at them, they random tele. A real player would stop and ask questions, or ask questions in wisper why they are being attacked. These bots uses no delay spell casting and some walk thru mops.
For the 6 years or so of playing LIN, I've always thought of bringing this "service" to some kind of class action to put NC out of bussiness. I have friends in the law department that I talked to them about, and they tell me its a sure win from what I've told them. Based on NC's TOS, the majority of players are breaking them, and NC lets them get by...not just days, not just weeks, but months...and sometimes even years.
I know NC is being careful not to ban legit players, but when we spot a bot that is stuck in a corner runing back and forth for hours and hours on end, and we reported to a GM, that bot should be banned right that instant. It doesnt take more than a fvcking monkey brain to figure out that is a fvckin bot! Unless NC has lower than monkey brains working for them...which most of us think is true.

I really love this game and I know for a very high percentage that if some players decides to take this "service" into court, the game will be shut down in no time. So I'm caught in between... If NC doesnt take actions according to their TOS, they are breaking the contract of service, service that we pay money for. If u go into an electronic store and buys a dvd player, brings it home, and it doesnt turn on... what do u do? You bring it back to the store for a new one. We cant get refund from NC if we are unhappy with their services now can we?

I also love this game, and I am caught between a rock and hard place myself! I have a lot of friends and some family that still play. But after coming back and seeing more bots, and the same bots, and now bots that are naming themselves after REAL LEGIT players, that really pushed me over the edge. Ok so it’s not the exact name, but with 1 letter or number off. That’s just no good, people who play the game legit are going to start taking heat for these bots that have the close names. There are at least 3 to 4 on Ken already, and I am sure that is the bots new move to confuse good players into not knowing who is who.
I don’t understand, if a person has been accused since “accused” came out, and there still hunting the same cave, except a deeper harder floor, why are they still in the game and not gone.
I also understand the investigation part of things, trust me I understand that part big time, and to me it makes no sense to let this go on with out some major banning. I know there has to be a “Adena” trap from time to time, but if you just nip it in bud, you won’t have to concern yourself with tracing gold.. It will go with the accounts that are getting booted.
I hate that I have to weave through countless amount of bots, almost were ever I hunt anymore. I don’t see why I should have to stop playing a game, because I am not happy with the performance of the company that runs it anymore. I have to much time in, and to much money, I don’t feel that “If I don’t like the game” I shouldn’t play anymore. What I don’t like is the slowness of the policing of bots, haxs and scams. I wish NC would do something right for the legit player for once. Not just hot air, tired of the hot air..

I know it took Willie a bit of talking to convince people a "like name" was not him... he has like 3 accounts (wife's and daughters I think) so people thought this "like name" was on one of em....
BOTS SUCKS! I been playing 7 years and the bots are way higher level then me in no time....

i had the same name
i had the same name problem.. my mage is named PwrManII and theres this bot named PowerManII... i noticed him when i came back from about a 3 month lineage leave and everyone was accusing me of botting.. looks like they are trying to defend against being banned by making their names as like to other plays as possible to keep nc chasing tails. they are also automatically macroing thingsd like "Lagggg -.-" or "lol ran out of pots" to make them look legit..but when they are saying these things they are moving back and forth back and forth back and forth... its rather amusing.

Yeah I had a similar experience recently with a character that I ignored THREE years ago for cheating and botting and causing general mischief. Come to find out the damn account is STILL around all this time later. Hell it's a level 70+ mage now...

Thats I think for NC, is the hardest bot to kill off. These bots need to be stopped before it gets to that point. I wish they would give players a little more power in this area, or see if they can appoint some people from each server. I would canvas around Ken for free, and help them on there bot problems.

I've had more than a few
I've had more than a few "sneaky" ideas in regards to ways to automate bot detection. Things that would pass as completely innocuous even if they were being monitored. The problem with bot detection currently (and not just in Lineage) is that it relies too heavily on human interaction to spot them. Developers need to start thinking like the botters and automate their detection methods.

With all the bots around, I'm not longer impressed when I hear that someone reached lvl 60 or made a +9 armor of something - prolly a botter, if not, well there are tons of bots who got better gear and reached higher levels.
Botters ruin the game in many aspects and most botters are real players and not adena sellers as ppl like to say.

and I think that when we call a GM to a bot "Stuck" and it is "stuck" for HOURS there is no reason it should EVER be able to log back on.
We mapled a bot into a cow in owl once, it ran around trying to still kill wizards. The GM came and watched the player chase down wizards in the cow poly.
He was in our pledge a male elf called SwiftCupid..
Interesting thing is SwiftWind was a well known legit player...also in our pledge...
We kicked it from pledge when we found it boting in OWL but it was back a few months later.
