Take Away Global????

Here is my 2 cents.....
This was started because global was used to gather everyone against soomy's bp that wanted to start fights on FVB

If global was not used less people would have known about the fight and less people would have shown up.

You want to be part of a server changing event use the resources that we already have and don't try to change something to your benefit.

Yes I know that your were not at the fight. So you might say that is not what you meant....
Don't insult anyones intelligence. BTW Everyone on lineage.com reminded you of
/chat off FTW!!!
That solves the problem on your end and allow the rest of the server to communicate.
What is next get rid of teamspeak?????

Yes I read posts and do my homework. I did not get as far as I have being a total follower.

Paps got a point. The problem is the behaviour of the people, not the exsistence of a masscomunication medium. There are more ways to talk to each other like chatparty, teamspeak, forum, messenger, pledgechat, and so on.

If you want to erase the problem, then you need to think about why it happens. As you know, I was in credence and saw it in all its "glory". Could go on in this, but wont lead to anything.

Global is not the problem and you know that. Aparently you cant life with that.

In my opinion whether you agree or not is:
global is a part of the reason we play the game. chat is part of the enviroment of play . LOA did not eliminate grief play by not having global. many of us have friends in other pledges it would be harder to find them online without global. I think they should leave it alone :)

I think that sk8 is upset that the server is not falling in line and doing the whole hugs and kisses with rosie..like him and cosa are..
I am not sure that papi has it all right but I do have to say I smell some MAJOR bs in the timing of sk8s post to end global.

You are talking about my issue with not shuting up whenever Rose talks sk8..take it up with ME and leave the rest of the server out of it.

I say he should /chatoff or \exclude
I also am really very angry that sk8 has the ability to post on lineage.com and the rest of us dont. If everyone is not going to be given ability to talk there no one should.

My theory is this.
He is trying to protect Rosie..
If he gets global turned off I can't remind everyone what an evil liar she is.

Also... I find global to be very useful, and entertaining..
I do not think I would stick around very long if it was taken away, it is what makes lineage so unique.
Yes we fight and argue and trash, but most of the time there is a GOOD reason for it. But that is NOT what we do all the time..or even most of the time...

I would take a chat ban for the team here before I would have global turned off for the whole server, it seems to me that is what sk8 is trying to do.
I feel like he starterd this topic to make me fear that the server will come down on me for trashing rosie so much, which is in effect what is going on, now though I understand why...
He is using FEAR...to shut me up...

atleast they have market system. and looking at lineage1 is packed w items rare, expensive..
im now forced to pray the NEWBIES gets it coz they the majority of ppl who use NC Trade Boards "website", most lv65-79s i know dont bother w Lineage.com as its always been about the majority of low lvls who cry and nerf game, Ingame boards was great for selling and buying high-end items and now thats gone, Global is great for "sometimes the global chit chatter" but sure its bad for all the crap talkers and spammers.. ALL we need is NC do to REAL Stuff insted of DUMB Stuff.

Extend /exclude list to hold 100 names.

People to learn to use /chat off who don't like it. End of that

Its not because it can be used to call people to a fight. A good leader doesnt need global. A real leader only has to talk to one person in another pledge, to have their pledge come help. You dont have to call out on global that you need back up. I wasnt at any fight on fv beach you refer to, and have no idea what went on.

CJ is closer, but it isnt about her either.
Its about the state of global. Its the tendency for global to be nothing more than smack talk and name calling. It goes back since the beginning, its always been that way. Be it the days of Injection, and all that smack talk. Or today. Its 5 people wanting to go on and on about one subject, that a handful of people will read and laugh, and everyone else will just /chat off or change the subject. Its all the new players seeing nothing but this name calling negativity on global chat. Makes them want to keep playing doesnt it?

I didnt post it here because the idea was quickly shot down on the boards. So there was no need to.

Global chat adds far more than you point out, maybe you play the game too long already to remember that.
For me and many other people global chat is the only place to communicate with other lineage players to ask or answer questions, place a PC, selling or buying items, discuss something or just to spice up a boring hunt with some fun comments.

Only a handful people using (or better abusing) the global chat in the way you told. Sadly those few people behave like Ken its their home, their server - but this isn't the case! They only cry louder than the others.

Use the exclude command to get rid of those who abuse gloabl chat for their private issues and wars. You'll see, its only a very few and always the same people.

well i first like to say i wish i could comment on lineage.com forums. ive tried 2 times to get old password with no help from support..... next ill say this about global. Ive quit lineage and played many games over the last 6 years. The one thing i missed most in most games is the ability to chat globally to the whole population. I have quit those game cuz of the total inability to ask questions as to how to advance in a new game. I would definetly quit lineage for good if i didnt have the ability to chat with the server, if they want to hear me or not should be their decision not mine. /chat off.....I feel sorry for Rosie and what may drive a person to do what she did. It was mean and i feel sorry for anyone hurt from it. That being said if she is sorry and not causing trouble the let her be. I hated orfen with a passion, mainly because she was rude to me for no reason, seemed like she just liked drama. Hell when she "died" i even shed a tear. I think the majority of the ppl think rose was rotten for doing that. BUT i think ppl are getting tied of hearing about what she did over and over. I respect the fact she is keeping her mouth shut for the most part... the old rose would argue with anyone for anything any time.., then get mad and yell out /exclude.lol. .....as for new players reading global and leaving , that should never be a consern. TRUST me lineage 1 has to worry about much more than the global. slow game play with high grind with the "uber" snobs will always keep new players away. I have tried to get 7 of my friends to play lineage over the years. ( all MMO players from other games)(and friends i mean real life friends and family) NONE made it past the free trial, that with me giveing them free stuff and millions of adena. and giving them help in understanding the game. the problom is slow slow game play with little excitment for new players. i went to dep as a "new" player, i was telling ppl i was new to lineage and need help. not beeging fo items and money just wanted to see if someone would party with me show me how to play, i got one wisper and was telling me to shut up and go to lindb qq one person did give me some noob items which did help, ther is so many simple ways to make this game more fun but it will never happen ... global never was the problem with new players. hell some global chat is a lot worst. if global goes so will a lot of people you watch. troy

seriously a stupid idea like disabling global has destroyed what little credability sk8 may have had. As for the whole dead girl issue..thats just sick and twisted...that bish needs some serious help
