Those botters suck for sure and only one thing bothers me more - NC doesn't take any real action against those botters!
It takes 10 mins to check Giran Trader Village (Ken) to say who is a bot shop and who not. Its a phrase, I already know most bots by name, class and can tell you their hunting area and what NC does? Bot check every 3 month?
This game becomes unplayable if you don't run a bot. I really play alot and I'm able to make 1mil per day without counting in rare drops but I'm not able to buy any of the high-end items while players who started a few month ago pop up 1billion to buy o.o You think they got a lucky drop, maybe a kclaw, got lucky again and made it +9 on the first try? Sure, that happens but for sure not that often.
NC wonders why no new players join Lineage 1 and why so many long time players quit? Easy, because its almost impossible to get any of the nice stuff without events.
I guess there are around 50 active bots on Ken - all adena sellers? LOL! Come on, there are not that many ppl who buy adena - most of the bots are run by real players on a side account and NC is not able to tell who they are? LMAO!

A way to stop some of the bots, especially the DVC bots would be to place a mini boss down there that randomly spawns on floors 3-6 and is a lvl 55-60 boss. Yes, that would hurt some noob players, but isn't there a boss of some sort in most of the dungeons now anyways?

Yes, and those bosses help. The heine one is good. But they all need to be made stronger. And drops should remain low so that they arent hunted down by boss hunters, and can stay there and kill off the bots.

The Heine boss hurts even
The Heine boss hurts even with 100%+ MR, that is why I buy ocean floor scrolls when I see them in GTV :). I can get to Heine 4 rather fast, but one run-in with her hurts and I usually either die, random tele, or venz.
I gotta try my luck against the IT 6-7 boss again as melee instead of with bow and see how well fair.
Elindaire (heine) is strong.
Elindaire (heine) is strong. Sometimes I will solo her with ease, sometimes she spanks me. She also poly's you into a ramia, which is perfect for a bot killing boss.
Garundur is not too difficult, he just has a TON of hp. When I solo him, it takes longer than soloing Ancient Giant.
Every bot killing boss should poly you, and should cast strong spells from a distance.
There really needs to be one on SKT4f, that hits for 100-150hp, and has 10000 hp. A king king bugbear?

Do level 55+ players hunt there? If so, that's fine, if not that's why I said level 50 and 2k hp.
The intention of the 'boss'
The intention of the 'boss' is not so that a group can take it down, but so that the bots down there cant take it down. And either have to bring in their own high level 'real' character to do it, or sit there and die to it over and over.
Its basically there to prevent bots from going non-stop. Not to be a 'fair' boss for boss hunters to chase after. It would be intentionally too strong, and the drops intentionally horrible.

I look at it this way.
I look at it this way. Normal players have already written off that area. Same as say, DVC 1-4. Used to be fun spots to hunt, but now players dont even consider them when thinking of where to hunt, because they wont compete with the bots.
So at least itll kill the bots over and over, in an area where players dont want to hunt anyways. And if players do, a couple of people could take him out fairly easy and clear the way for players.
The intention is to make it not profitable for the bots anymore, since they will often die, and have to run all the way back. Wasting their botting supplies and time. If they only make 100 nzels today (while dying a few times), instead of the 400 that they got yesterday because the boss wasnt there... then thats a win.
Doesnt hit hard. Dies fast. Only thing about him is he polys you.

How about beefing up Revenant to level 55, add on 400 hp/mp, have him cancel as well as poly players, and increase his melee strength. Then have him spawn in both SKT and Giran caves.

Get rid of the bots! Its so easy to detect them:
- bots are online longer than human players
- botters have plenty of adena and/or zels/dais gathered over a short perid of time
- they hunt one area over a long period of time
- they level faster
If all of the above fits to one char, its most prolly a bot - time to check it!

It is quite easy to spot a bot in DVC 1-4 where there are 2 cells attacking monsters such as skeleton pikemen and archers. The bot would hit these monsters from 2 cells away, even when they themselves are using 1cell attacking polies. I even showed a monitor a few of these and he says he was watching them. Well guess what, that was 3 months ago, and I still see those bots every time I go down there.
I still stick to my theory that NC's monitors are either brain dead, or never played a minute of lineage so they have no clue how the game works.

Ever wonder how many Obelts (or whatever) that those shops have in storage? They always have one for sale, and they intentionally leave it high price so as not to drive their own profit down... While their reserve of more just builds up in storage... I bet the 'good' ones (and I use that loosely in the sense that they are good at botting, but are bad people for doing so...) get an obelt a day...

It could be instead of banning all the bots and wasteing time and effort to do that, they could be adding a program or mayby rewriting lineage to make it so 3rd party programs are impossible to attach to lineage. It is such a necessary item, and is farm exclusively by bots. Why in hell haven't they fixed that yet? I have no idea...

You just need to learn how to deal with bots. Just play the game and ignire them. They shouldnt even really be effecting you on ken. Bots may keep the prices high for everything, so just farm rare items. I started ken with nothing and within 8months i am lv 52 DE +7kedo -70ac and still have 65m left over, and thats all legit. All people do on ken is bitch and argue about bots, the thing they need to be doing is asking why the hell are bots even on ken. Cant go randomly pking, they dont seige. and all the people that have bots running around for em just keep to them selves. So inless your from ken, you cant really complain.

You cant really have these insanely intence monster down in these dungeons either. Ya it will make bots leave that place, but it will keep legit people from there also. Putting the monster there would also just move the bots to other places making the game even smaller, ssince we wont be hunting the dungeons. I keep saying that bots are a problem for every MMORPG game, and no matter what game you play, bots will always win. People get payed to design programs for this stuff and some people do it for hobbies. With the skills and technology today these programmers can make the most suffisticated programs that will make a player act like a actual player. They havnt yet because they have not needed to do so. If NC rewrights lineage to counter act these current bot programms then the bot programma will get more sofisticated becoming the much more harder to break.
