I wanted to see if I could just shoot the damned thing to death...and the answer is yes. I silenced it and then the dires and I took it on:

BTW unicorns are still hard to hit even with 21 dex. I can see why mages get drops over elves on that one. I found that I did better to just sunburst it. But wind's ac must be a lot lower.

I'm with Mal on this one, to get back to an old thread. If I'm in DK morph and trying to silence it, I sometimes accidently hit it with my csom. And...it doesn't attack me. With my dex if it is hitable with a csom, I should be able to hit it, and wind up dead as a result.

Killed one last night with Zooom, who managed to get every drop from what I can tell off of two mages that kept errupting it and letting their summons beat it. He was doing far more damage I guess.
