Well, I was bored and decided to walk/tele around the woods between Giran and Heine. I obviously have not done this from fear of Lastabad packs. Well, to my suprise, if you move slowly enough, you usually don't have to handle more than three mops and I learned to go right for the mages first. Reasons being that they do the most damage to me and they die fast. How fast? Stay tuned, but first pics of my Lastabad hunt.
First sign its becoming night time, the Lastabads come out.

Then along came a solo wiz who was hitting me before I could even see him.

Oh, then his buddies show up. . .

. . . and they go down! Not without me burning a few pots, but not as bad as I expected.

Then a thief comes out and I decide to count hits. Mages were about the same.

Then a rare to find ranger comes out and has this to say:

A summoner must have been near, but I never saw him, only his offspring.

Oh, and don't forget the stepchildren De's and some Dires.

And then on my way back to town, one last goodbye fight.

They were fun to hunt because they have ok xp and are a different chellenge. FV is still better for money and lvling, but here, it was me and the mops and no Babos.

coolness...
I myself like to go out and hunt the lastabad peeps. It kinda breaks up the bordem of leveling. I'm starting to feel the level 49 burn :(
At night better
Yeah, it makes walking the woods almost on edge again. Of course if I went sans poly, it would be. I can't even fathom 49 Caz. I am hating 48. I pretty much retired the elf in favor of leveling the DE and occasional haste collecting with the mage. The elf is used to collect stuff from trees on occasion. Lvl 48 twig collector. My only complaint with lastabads is during the day they are not present. I think they should still be there, but like the WL, be higher in frequency at night. Now stop reading blogs and go lvl! :D
