The last time I remember the game really flourishing was when LoA first opened and the messageboards were in heavy use. I realize that that was in the Pre-WoW (And maybe even Pre-Lin2) days. But I can't help thinking that one of the chief differences between this game and others is not so much graphics or bots or updates, but the lack of a functioning official messageboard.
The boards used to be packed, and they were useful.
I think if we really want to reinvigorate the game, getting the boards running has to be an important priority. It hamstrings the community otherwise. (I also think it wouldn't hurt to have someone take over the job of updating LineageDB)
Also, I saw someone post on the official site about advertising. I'm thinking if NC won't advertise heavily, then those of us who have websites should just go ahead and do it ourselves.
I really want this game to be around for another 10 years and not just around, but doing well.

there is a couple old school
there is a couple old school mmo's that are seeing engine updates I'm hoping that they will see sucess with it and maybe open NC's eyes.
NC is narrow minded.. they
NC is narrow minded.. they only care about 3d games =(

Well, having played Lineage
Well, having played Lineage 2, I would say that NC's neglect is not only a function of this game. The Lin2 messageboard and website at their best are never as good as Lin1's website and board.
I had heard that the issue with the official boards was reconciling PlayNC accounts with messageboard accounts. I'm wondering why the Austin team doesn't simply open the boards to everyone. They can always boot people who are violating the rules of the board.
cause random ppl will start
cause random ppl will start advertising for this and that w/ no consequences..

simple... IP BAN~
simple... IP BAN~
dynamic ip's make ip banning
dynamic ip's make ip banning for boards atleast mute
thats why most ppl that run boards usually start out open to everyone and eventually lock em up to approved members having priv's to post.
Sounds like it would be more
Sounds like it would be more work and time involvement to police an open board, than to fix the broken boards.
Its not like they have fixed the boards in a timely manner, however...
What is it, a year and half now?
Got Blog?
It can't be that hard to fix
It can't be that hard to fix them. I suspect no one is really working on it.
