The KillGlance Ring

Oh, by observing how they have updated their servers even during events, I have gotten the impression that stuff like items cannot be updated without reseting the server. Meaning the server system behind it would be done the old fashioned way, when attributes of items etc. are loaded in the server memory on the startup after they cannot be changed on the run.

What they seem to be able to do by running pre-written scrips for events is to example manipulate monster spawn and change polymorph lists while the server is running, but I cannot think a single occasion where item functionality would have changed in this way. But you most likely have more in-depth information what Fracas and his team can do with the tools available for them, so this is actually interesting to hear. As they have made the ring currently change only in server resets, it made me strongly to belive they were not able to really do it in the way as the original suggestion was. If they can actually change item functionality without server restarts, they would be able to make the KGring the way it was presented in the original suggestion: it could change at any time.

Maybe we could then have even more of these kind of randomized items, even total armor set of randomness that changes the functionality randomly. Dunno if anyone would really like to use such a thing tho, haha.

But ok, maybe the server technology ain't as limited as I was assuming in the first place. Interesting information, because to be able to suggest things in a reasonable level, we would need to know what Fracas and team really are able to do with the tools provided to them. Thank you :)
