Best Weapon for Royal?

but my guess is a bkat or that sword you get for doing that quest from the scroll thing(diamond sword?)..
or even an asword

What about an Ori dagger? Seems like a lot of people are going for them these days. I heard it's because in Ep6 the swing rate on daggers is increased.

I had an A-Sword once, but I hated the fact of having to spend all that adena and still have it be damageable, which meant I needed another sword.

Of course the best weapon, would be based on your level, and stats, and were you hunting at the time. There is no right answer for your question with out more information on your style. Could be a bow, or and SLS or something else. Give us more to chew on, and maybe we can help you better.

Early stages its a combination of bkat and sls. Or long sword of pretender king if you can get a hold of one.

I disagree with Sk8 to an extent. Once you can do the Diamond Sword quest, that's the best sword you can have (and it's undamageable). But you still might want a SLS if you're going to hunt undead. If you're lower level (and/or can't afford an a-sword), you might try for a +9 Dama. It's not horrifically expensive (at least on Ken), undamageable, and does reasonable mop damage. You can also try for a b-kat (or just kat).

If you prefer a bow, about your only choice is an hbow. I leveled my princess from 1-49 with an hbow. I worked up from a +6 to a +9 over time. The latter half of 49 when I could be a better poly during event, I used a +9 sls in TOS or a +9 Dama/+9 b-kat elsewhere. The b-kat is good for demon class.

Of course, the higher + you can get your weapons, the better, that goes without saying.

+9 Diamond Sword is the best sword for Royal, no questions asked. My pledge royal has it, he's level 57 and used to have +10 dama, +9 rap, +9 bkat, +9 mail. He sold all of them except +9 mail after making +9 Diamond Sword. If you can't get it, I suppose +9 Ori, A-sword, +10 b-kat are best ones depends on situations.

Against large mops and higher level mops, my 9dsword will out-damage my asword. In FV, asword is still hands down best. I have heard the rumors that the asword rolls better as you get higher level, and I look forward to testing that! But best overall leveling weapon for royal is 10sls. Or any undead weap that swings fast in your morph. If youre ignoring the free 1d20 damage, youre making a huge mistake.

It's like what everyone else is saying. Depends what your style is and where you hunt. Undead, its SLS hands down, And Biz I'm sure its 2x damage with silver, not 1-20 :P.

But as far as lil mops go and pvp, asword. +9dsword doesn't do enough damage for me but the + to dex and hit is really nice on high ac'ed chars.

I would say, go with Sls/b-nkat till your 50+. Get a diamond sword till around 54-55 and keep it for random bosses. But after that, I'm sure asword/sls will be your way of lvling.

I don't even have a +9 d-sword anymore. I'm actually gonna try and make a +10-11... but, at +9, it's not worth it for me.

Best places to hunt for royal with weapons too... From best to worst (IMO)
31+, SLS
TOS hunting, S-axe is the best weapon in the game right now for there. Next is crimson lance. Then SLS, Ori Dagger, then, Mailbreaker.... But if your low lvl with no buffs, you'd need mailbreaker
41+, S-axe, Dama, SLS
21+, bkat, diamond sword, asword
FV, Bkat, Asword, Diamond sword
Oren WL, Hunters bow, SLS
Ivory tower, SLS, hunters bow

Those are all I can think of really.... Been ages since I was low lvl and LOTS have changed.
Giran lvl 3 is pretty good too... I'd use SLS there.....

My weapons depot consists of:
+9sls, +9crimsonlance, asword, +9hbow(Don't ever use), +9dama(Don't ever use), +9s-axe.. I think I have 1-2 others.... Can't think of em atm :P.. I had +9d-sword.. blew it though going for +10 a long time ago.

And I have every end covered. All the best damaging weaps for EVERY occassion except my bow... Need a +9lastabad bow to be best in that :P.

I have a level 47 royal atm. I love my crimson Lance it rocks 2x and 3x. Hbow or Orc Bow is good if you dex. Replace these with Diamond Sword when you get one.
