Ok, so I plan to get a 16gb Iphone unlocked for use in Canada on the Rogers network, unless their is a better alternative that can do what the Iphone does which is of course is:
-Sick Mp3 player
-Video Player
-Big Screen
-Wifi-capability
-bluetooth
-full qwerty keyboard (even tho it is touchscreen) ~Which i wonder, does it work in landscape mode too?
-2mbCamera (not the greatest, but it will do for sharing photos of events(birthday parties/weddings) that i send over hotmail on LQ anyways~I send to my relatives and such in foreign countries.)-how good is it in dim lighting? (like in houses at nighttime when you have those baige lights instead of pure white if u know what i mean)
-Rumoured to be able to load a Nintendo/Snes Emulator on
-Rumoured to be able to use a remote for controling Itunes via wifi, and if possible try to get it to work w/ a hometheater~still doin my research on that one tho
So the thing about using an iphone in canada is that the data rates are killer. unlike in the US where for 79$ or so u can get an unlimited data plan and 400minutes.. in Canada its like this

so case in point.. its not cheap to use data, so i am not going to use my iphone for things like youtube or the map stuff or weather reports since I usualy check those things on my homecomputer. what I plan to do is have preloaded anime video or tv eps on thier that i will watch when need be for video purposes. Im not that big on youtube either so its not a big loss for me. It would have been great if I can go to forums like to lineageone to my hearts content, but i know that the data downloaded from this site is probably 1mb a visit at least O.o so I hope someone can tell me if you can disable things like pictures and stuff on the safari browser or if thier are any alternatives? so that I dont have to download alot when im viewing this forum and posting.~I also have other forums i check out (like redflagdeals/playstation/cnet/and others
I also want to get a remote (think cheapest option for the iphone is like a 6$ controllor) so that i dont need to take it out of my pocket when I am listening to music while im on the bus/train so i can skip traks/inc/dec the volume. (my commute to work/school takes about 1.5/2 hours. (3-4 hours both ways) so you can see why I would want to have all those features like mp3/video)
Anyways~ After reading this, what I want to ask from you guys is
1.are you able to answer any conceerns i Have on this thread.
2.how are your experiences with your iphone if you have one
3. are thier better alternatives? should i wait for an iphone version2 if their ever is one
4. whats a good case/skin for it so that I dont have to worry about droping/scratching it.
5. Am i able to connect another earphone to the iphone other then the one it comes w/
6. whats the batter life like? with the use you put in it
7. how is the edge network in Canada (specifically toronto) offered by Rogers
8. whats difference between edge/3g
I always do my research like krazy before I get something (and i am still researching on it~hence why i have so many questions) so I hope you guys could help me answer some of those questions~

meaning i would have to spend either an extra 15-30$ per month on data or try to get rogers to reduce my voiceplan so that I can accomadate having a data plan.
