Question
After almost every fight Monitor80 or Monitor81 has popped up on my screen and whispered me...
They say they were passing by, watching me hunt (we were really fighting O.O) but they continued to follow me.
A few weeks ago a monitor was following me on Forgotten Island for a entire 1% on my mage with
2 Dire wolves.
Is this happening to anyone else?..... What should I do?
Answer
Try changing your perfume. Perhaps they are attracted to it.
In all honestly it is likely that other players have reported you as being suspicious. They are likely just checking you out - waiting to catch you... So, if you *were* cheating - you really ought to stop.
If you, on the other hand are playing legitimately all you need to do is smile and say hi... Perhaps offer them a cookie or something. I hear they like pie.

That is a common
That is a common misconception, actually.
I have it on good authority that nine out of ten monitors prefer cake to pie.
I just have to say... "The
I just have to say... "The cake is a lie!"

They've come for your
They've come for your cheese.
i've been stalked also
i've been stalked also because i've been getting mad drops lately..
my friend also been making so much $ from infernos that monitor spawned valakas so he wouldnt go in lair anymore lol

I was hunting in dvc a couple of weeks ago and monitor asked me how my game play was going, responded with it would be a lot better if xxxx and xxxxxx weren't botting and walkthrough stealing my mops...5 minutes later they were both gone and haven't been back since!
They're just waiting for you to tell them what to do
Well they even asked a few
Well they even asked a few of my pledgemates whats thier Level,Ac,HP,and some time whats thier food Gage ......
Normally its Monitor80 and sometimes monitor81 (Dep Monitors)
I know who reported me but after 2 months of whatching me seeing I dont use hacks, you think they would stop.
And its more then they checking me, ever hunt FI with 2 summons on a mage? That 1% takes awhile to get and they continued to pop in and out of thier Perma Invis during that entire hunt,
Never explain. Your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe it anyway.
It looks like the monitors
It looks like the monitors are stepping up their game. To which I say, Kudos monitors for starting to do now what you should have been doing from the start...
Got Blog?
I've had them pop out of
I've had them pop out of monitor-coi and ask how our game was going once when I was hunting TOI with a friend, and we've also had them pop out and then disappear again w/out a word while on FI. But yeah, you're a real suspicious sort so they're likely to be up your butt for a while =P j/k ...I agree, I think they're just making sure you're legit. I'd just smile, wave, and tell them to have a nice day.
Maybe they were lost. You
Maybe they were lost. You should have been nice and told them where to go. ;-)
Monitor80 and sometimes
Monitor80 and sometimes Monitor81 has been doing the same thing to some of my pledge members.
The funny thing is no one in my pledge bots or uses any hacks. The Monitors ask the odds questions too, like what there ac is or there hp/mp atm and what items they have on them at the time of question. I don't understand why they are doing this to us ppls whom do not bot/hack when there are tons of bots out there to pick on but they just love to over look them 24/7. I think Monitor80/81 needs to get a life off of game or find a gf/bf what ever it takes to stop the harrassment of ppls whom DON"T bot/hack!

I disagree - this would seem
I disagree - this would seem to indicate that they are now randomly spot-checking people... Surely that's a good thing!
We're always asking for more intervention when it comes to the 3rd party users - now we have it!
Quote:randomly spot-checking
I dont belive in randomness in this game anymore. Dont you think its weird that only pledges that fight cheaters are getting odd wispers by monitor (and seems like its always the same 2 monitors).
They say things are random.....*cough cough* kg ring *cough cough*
Why would a monitor need to
Why would a monitor need to know your ac and stuff anyways?

Those are apparently
Those are apparently questions they use to check that it's (most likely) human responding to them and not some computer program. Meaning yes, they see the asked information of the target player in their end, but that's the whole point of it. The questions are easy and something every player should be able to answer by simply checking the value from the user interface and monitor can immediately check if the given answers are correct.
The problem of course is, that I believe it should not be very difficult to code string detection functions in the bot programs that would then send automated answers for the asked values after they have been mapped. With that I mean the similar function what most bots have been doing for ages when they see "bot" in the screen, but modified for this particular use. After all, organized cheaters are most likely able to upkeep such an information very easily :(
Thus there should always be mixed in also some random, but easily answered questions in there, so that the answering is not possible to be automated. These are the questions like "How are you doing? How the game has been going for you?" etc. what the monitors are apparently already doing. Answers for those kinds of questions are again a lot more difficult to automate in the degree that it actually seems like there's real human in the other end. Well, at least if we could assume every Lineage 1 player would example be able to answer in good english. As that is not the case when we have players from all over the world, monitors most likely has to accept even weirder answers to those questions, heh.
But as I already posted in official Lineage boards, I am pretty much happy to see monitors are finally actively checking the reports. Yes, for now I believe the players monitors are asking these questions from are actually being accused, most likely even constantly. Are these accuses made by legit players, cheaters or automatically by bots is again a whole another story. After all, thinking how the server checks are made in this game, hacked clients are most likely able to accuse any player in their screen or not. When giving it another thought, I would not be surprised at all if the bots would be having a list of players they keep accusing all the time. Nevertheless, the monitors need to check the reports they get even the reported player would be example well known in the community.
Hopefully they can figure out more efficient ways to detect the computer automated player characters in the near future. Until then I can only ask patience from you folks when the monitors are trying to do what we have asked them to do for so long. Thank you :)

Have fun, but let others have too :)
Dep was that way bigtime.
Dep was that way bigtime. The more you complained of hacks the more your pledge would be circumspect. I don't get the logic and have decided to give up on complaining about anything anymore.
Running will only make you die tired...
Thats not random spot
Thats not random spot checking people roo... On Dep, monitor 80/81 are harrassing this pledge big time. They were harrassing us at fights awhile back but as far as I know they stopped. But Stary and Moon's pledge... It seems after every fight they have with POF(major hackers). Monitors are on their butts like white on rice.
Funny thing is, Monitors watch the fights they have, and we have with POF and its beyond obvious the hacks they use. You literally have to be blind, or mentally retarded to not notice... And monitors harrass the legit ones... Somethings wrong with that picture and its very selective.. Not random at all.
the monitors was just
the monitors was just protectin their bots, cause they sure not banning the bots.they mess with legit players and leave the bots alone. i had a monitor check on me while i was huntin heine 4f (bot heaven),and i started to point out bots to him, whisperin the monitor stuff like "wow anotha bot".the monitor decided to /exclude me o.o,how messed up is that?
