Q:What would be better at pvp and hunting, con Knight or str/dex DE?
Knight you can lvl fast to like lvl 30 due to brave
DE you will lvl kinda slow (due to the fact you wont have moving accel till 30) but ur kill speed will be higher then a knight on mops, and then you will just blast thru mops like no tommarow(post lvl 30) and outlvl the knight in no time due to the fact you hit so strong early on due to all the buffs u have.
as for pvp, knight would be best to have since it has the shortest cool down time after being cancelled.
As for DE, if you make it, and plan to do str/dex, you should rather do base wis, and then add to wis to 23/24 then add to str/dex that way, you wont be griefed as much by mages, and will be able to have 100mr and very high Elemental resis of your choice + good mp regen.. you definetly want to have mp regen on a de..

But also note that no matter how high ur MR is on DE, you can still be canceled due to Erase..BUT that will only happen if an elf is thier, other times you will rock and be King of the World..
and in most 1:1 situations. a wis de will win (except against an earth elf)
as for knights.. when im on mage, I enjoy w-b them. canceling them.. slowing them..mana draining them... and when they stop trying to attack me.. I try to para them =)
I wouldnt be able to do any of the above to a wis de.. and mages dmge is pretty nerfed so even if i railed out alot of spells(each successive spells dmge gets reduced by half or sumtin), thier pots should be able to keep up..
I also cant do didddly squat to an Earth elf who has good MR... (For Eg: ZeKo on LoA server)

Age old debate.
It all comes down to personal taste.
DE's hands down put out more damage and faster kill rates. PVE/PVM/PVP
DE's have much easier access to good mr and high end weapons (Kaiser, as opposed to knights trying to get a hold of a DK sword.)
Knights are more simple. Ease of returning to the battle immediately after a cancel instead of having to go regen mp for your buffs.
Being over weight is never a huge problem for knights.
Knights dont HAVE to mp manage, they have no buffs they have to worry about keeping up. Some choose to though.
Knights have Fort TS.
For me though the selling point on choosing one or the other is Stun. Stun is hands down one of the best sources of a kill in pvp. It doesnt truly get great until high level... But a 65+ knight can dish out some long deadly stuns on almost anyone.
Yesterday I was trying to decide whether to start up a knight on test, or a DE.
In the end, simplicity won. And I went with knight.

After lvl 45, str/dex Dark
After lvl 45, str/dex Dark elf will hunt faster and make more money as well. In addition, you can fight higher lvlers because you would have so much dmg and high evasion rate due to high str and dex. In addition, you spend less money on potions and there's no need of using brave pots, which could be stressful sometimes.

when de was first released i made a str/dex elf.. I was on par with Most DK knights and could cream them lol =)
