...at least some of them. Looks like NC cleaned the servers, on Ken TOS is playable again - all bots are gone (I hope not to 2f - LOL), DVC (only a few of them are gone), SKT 4f (still 4-5 there). Most of them are monitored so NC need to catch them either using a hack or while they are not monitored. Well, I would really like to know why those bots are gone? Did NC really ban them or is it just because their account expired due to credit card fraud?
I noticed that there are 2 kind of bots. Those with stupid bot names and those with readable names. The 2nd group are leveling bots and will be played at lvl 55+ or later by a real player. I asked someone I knew of that he was a bot before: 'Why did you bot your char to higher level?' He answered: 'The game is more fun with a higher level char...'
I don't understand this because the fun for me is to see my char growing and try to challange mops with all my char weaknesses. Everyone can solo 41f with a lvl 60+ char but thats no challage and just boring.
Some of the bots accounts were sold - poor people who bought those accounts, they don't know that everyone on Ken knows that they were bots before...

I would say the problem is that when 'we' catch them red handed and show the monitor its not enough... Nc has to elevate it to someone else that has to catch them redhanded again... By the time it gets that far, they are sold and played by living people.
Like how the heck is 'Depravity' (or something weird like that) a dvc bot for over 3 years now, not banned yet? Barcelona8? Castleto?
Those three have to be 70+ by now. I bet Depravuitiyity is already close to 75 or more hes been around so long. You will never see any of them in anything but DK or 55 poly though.

Personally Barcelona8 is my fav! Once he was standing at Giran X and did nothing then rebuff - all night long! You'll meet him on DVC 5f or 6f, still in DK morph :)
Castleto left DVC some time ago. Now he likes to fight in doorways (BTW: Don't cancel him! He rebuffs quickly - ALL buffs - if you do it twice then he has no mana and will leave the combat zone :P ). I don't know why but no pledge want him - he leveled soooo fast and played night and day to get his level, always on DVC 5f - that's true patience, almost like a machine!

That is the whole problem, no one monitoring what's going on with the bots. a team needs to be dispatched to address it when there is an accusation. most bots run in a pattern that is completely obvious. wispering a bot doesn't work much anymore because the bots are watched by their controllers.
we need in game presence more than just watchers. takes them too long to figure it out.

I didn't notice any of the usual suspects being gone from Abyss Lake. There were five teams (tank + healer mage) in Abyss lake today.
Me, I love the bots who bot along until they reach level 65 or so, THEN they actually play the character occasionally and expect to be treated like a player. I don't know about everyone else, but if I watch you bot your way to 65 in a tenth of the time (or less) that it took me to get there, and THEN you want to chat, well, frack you. Once a bot, always a bot.

its obvious ncsoft wants to make the most money they can before banning the bots. this explains why they do a mass banning once server population reaches a certain number.

BTW decrease in bots was due to server reset most likly... usually take 2-4 hours for them all to get back up and running after a reset.
